Cherry is an amazing host, very friendly and welcoming. She is the main character of this place. Breakfast is above average, everyday she puts effort into making a fresh and hearty breakfast. The rooms are maybe a little small but totally fine, you will spend most of the time outside anyway. Location is great with restaurants and bars in walking distance. Something you have to try: Cherry's coconut pancake and mango sticky rice she sells outside the hotel in the evening, very delicious!!!

Hill top room is new, clean, comfortable, has modern design. Beach has enough chairs for all, chill atmosphere, perfectly clean. Sea view gorgeous! Water in the sea incredibly clear. Free pick up from the pier, free kayaks, free tea and instant coffee with snacks at lobby in the afternoon. Restaurant food is good and felt safe to eat. 1 dinner is $40-50 for 3 people. Price for the stay is fair 100%!

Everything about the place and the owner. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help with anything we needed. The cottage was amazing, clean and spacious. He even gave us a lift to the ferry at no extra charge when we left. Highly recommend

The room was spacious, good shower, air con, balcony with chairs and free coffees and cold water. The garden was immaculate and well maintained by Jay and the beach was cleaned every day. The food at the restaurant was good and not very expensive. It was a very good place to stay right on the beach!

This was my favorite stop in the 4 islands we stayed.

This was my favorite stop in the 4 islands we stayed. This quaint little island was quiet and yet had everything we needed. The room was perfect, it was clean and large enough for the 2 of us. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and the beach were great! as well more restaurant options on the main street just a few min walk away. There were golf carts and mopeds available to rent to travel the quiet island at your own pace. there were great happy hours available down the beach and Thai massage down the beach. Highly recommend staying here for a quiet vacation.

Beautiful island, very chill seclude, not too much touristic...

Beautiful island, very chill seclude, not too much touristic, but has everything you need. Cute cafes, a lot of amazing restaurants, quiet and pristine beaches. You can also take a boat to Koh Kham, it’s beautiful! Very easy, ticket only 350 baht.

Koh Mak is quite small but beautiful and has a lot of nature. Good kick-boxing school. Variety of good eating places Koh Mak seafood being one of them. It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring. The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can. There are some very picturesque beaches and bars. Also a variety of takes on food By the sea has great sandwiches etc. If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue. However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows. Best I had ever seen.

After researching on Google satellite I was pleasantly...

After researching on Google satellite I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Much lusher and more tourist-friendly than I expected. Though it's a small island, there's enough there to explore more than we could in 3 nights. And it is the ideal launching site to visit the famous diving and snorkeling sites around Koh Rang island. Five nights would be adequate, unless you're a snorkeling/diving addict, then maybe more.

Very small island which is still kind of rural and not very...

Very small island which is still kind of rural and not very touristy. That also means that there are not many amenities or fun things you can do. Accommodations are more basic, food or bar options are limited, and you've seen all of the island in a few hours. But you can also have a perfect chill time without any noisy tourist crowds or big loud party areas. Beaches are great. If you want more action, just take the ferry to Ko Chang (once a day).

The property is run by the German couple and comprises several bungalows spread around. My room was ample with comfortable bed, private WC, and outdoor seating space with table and chair. Electric kettle and coffee sachets were provided. WiFi very good. Location is a bit off the main road - 10 min to grocery store, 15 min to good and cheap restaurant, 30 min to nice beach (Koh Mak Resort beach is the best). I asked the owner for fridge and next day it was provided. Recommended place to stay.

Makathanee was a great place to stay at Koh Mak. We came directly to the pier from Koh Chang, got into the spacious bungalow quickly and enjoyed our time here with an amazing view to the ocean. Close by shops, restaurants and massages (walking distance only minutes). Hotel booked a snorkeling trip for us with only 6 guests which was great. Also nice private beach, also to go for longer walks in both directions. However, a scooter rental is helpful to see also other areas of the island.

Mira Montra resort met our expectations in every way. The beach house is of course a great choice. We woke up thinking how beautiful life is. A reasonably rich selection of delicious dishes for breakfast. They never disappointed us with the a la carte dishes (dinner). The hotel staff is very friendly and dedicated to the guests. Our vacation was enriched by a motorbike (rented at Mira Montra). Thanks to the staff for an unforgettable vacation! Branko&Juju

Best location on the island, amazing sunsets, beautiful hotel territory and super good gym. The hotel staff is exceptional, super helpful and friendly. We’ve stayed in a sea view villa and enjoyed sunsets right from our terrace. The hotel also has a wonderful rooftop terrace, the best place to watch sunsets!
