Very well maintained and the staff are very friendly

The property has: 1. A fantastic location and easy accessibility, exactly what I had wished for. Pongwe is a quiet place for resting and relaxing. 2 A breathtaking Indian Ocean observation view from the apartment 3. A restaurant with convenient open hours, 10 AM-10 PM, underneath the property, with tasty dishes at reasonable prices. 4. Friendly and polite staff. 5. A tasty breakfast incl. fruits, fresh juice, etc.

Almost two weeks at The Nest in Pongwe and it was one of our best holidays. The location is perfect for relaxation, peace, and feeling safe, while still allowing you to experience the authentic side of Zanzibar. Cleanliness is excellent, the rooms are well maintained, and all of them have an ocean view, which is a big plus. The Infinity pool is beautiful and ideal for relaxing moments, overseeing the ocean. The food is very good, and the staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, especialy Stephan the Chief of staff. He provided great recommendations for local attractions such as the Spice Farm and the Stone Town tour, and also helped organize excursions, including an unforgettable Mikumi Safari. The airport transfer was well organized by Stephan. Overall, The Nest in Pongwe is a wonderful choice for couples looking for a relaxing and intimate stay. We highly recommend it and would happily return. Excellent value for money!

everything was amazing, truly we had the best time. The security was there so we felt safe. Try not to get influenced by the negative reviews, I am so glad we didn't because everything was up to an incredible standard. We loved Coco such a cute addition but we are also big animal lovers. Good food, good breakfast options, clean beach with cool restaurants around. The masais were not intrusive, mainly just friendly guys. So happy we chose Karibu. The room with beach view was out of this world.

We were staying just for one night. Kevin was amazing and very helpful and brought us all we needed. The rooms are huge and comfortable. The place is very small and quiet and fits for few days chilling. Loved the quiet and presonal vibe

The location was great, even though it was at the end of the line of hotels it was right on the beach and away from the noise and crowds. It was great because it was also close to the local shops. The breakfast was not varied enough but the ordered portions for lunch were above the standard and very rich. We had booked a garden room but we got a free upgrade for a sea view which was wonderful. The moment you stepped on the porch you were greeted by ocean and sunrise and the waves were great for sleeping at night. The staff were kind and hygiene was on a high level. Very cozy and lovely hotel that deserves to be called a resort. It gives a full island lifestyle experience, with many different locations around the property to enjoy the ocean view and serenity surrounding you. Wonderful breakfast that will cover anyone's needs with daily fresh fruits available of course. There is an amazing bar at the pool that offers the best cocktails in Zanzibar. But most precious are the people living and working in Moonshine. During our short stay, we had a feeling of living at our family's villa in Uroa. calm, intimate, good restaurant

Everything at Marafiki Bungalows was exceptional. We ate all our meals there and everything was made from scratch - a variety of freshly baked pastries in the morning, fresh bread in the evening, home-made jams, fresh seafood, etc.. It was so delicious. There were sufficient sun-loungers and day beds for all the guests.

I have been to Zanzibar many times and stayed in different high-level hotels, and I can confidently say — this hotel is one of the best! 🔥 Excellent value for money and very pleasant service. We traveled as a big group, and everyone was absolutely delighted! A special thank you to the manager Emanuel, who was extremely attentive to every detail and always friendly. And also a huge thank you to the owner of the hotel, who was present during our stay and made it especially enjoyable. The staff is attentive and always quick to respond to any request. The atmosphere is very friendly, and you truly feel like a welcome guest. Rooms are kept very clean. Breakfasts may not have a huge variety, but everything is always fresh, tasty, and more than enough — exactly what you need to start the day with a nice meal and a beautiful view 🌴 The hotel grounds are wonderfully green and well maintained, with two large swimming pools and plenty of comfortable sunbeds. The beach is beautiful, especially at high tide, and even at low tide it looks picturesque in its own way. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and bungalow-style — very cozy. Nearby there are small shops and nice cafés, and the hotel itself is located right next to the famous Kiwengwa Beach.
