Beautiful location set in the village about a km from Marangu gate. Close to a waterfall for swimming and at night a welcoming fire to sit by. Food was great and plentiful. Lots of trails to explore in the area and the opportunity to hike Kilimanjaro for a day hike or to the top. To get to the home stay you can go by boda boda or taxi from marangu town/bus station; the roads to the village are very rough. Staff and host did everything to make our stay very pleasurable. Thank you.

My stay at this accommodation in Moshi for the Kilimanjaro Marathon was truly wonderful from start to finish. The staff's attentiveness began before I even arrived, with excellent pre-trip communication and arranging pickup service. Josephine provided a warm and efficient check-in process that immediately made me feel welcome. The room itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and featured reliable hot water - a much-appreciated comfort! Breakfast was a delightful experience, simple yet satisfying, with unique savory pancakes that deserve special mention. The morning views of Kilimanjaro from the dining area were absolutely spectacular - the perfect inspiration before race day Julius at the reception was the BEST! He was incredibly accommodating with every request and even took us (me and other marathon guests) on a memorable tour to the stunning Materuni waterfalls - an experience I highly recommend to other visitors. Or Best Freezing bath after a marathon. What truly set this place apart was the staff's dedication to supporting marathon participants. They thoughtfully prepared a carb-heavy dinner the night before the race, arranged an early wake-up call, and ensured we reached the venue with plenty of time to prepare. This level of personalized service made all the difference to my race experience. I highly recommend this accommodation or simply visiting the beautiful Materuni area. The combination of comfortable rooms, attentive service, and those stunning mountain views made for an unforgettable stay.

This is a very new accommodation, but it has been cleverly and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. You can really tell that Klaus has many years of experience in this business. It’s a beautiful, small and cozy property with a stunning view of Mount Kilimanjaro. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay, and above all very safe. The food was absolutely delicious – homemade, with a small but excellent menu. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and very comfortable. Klaus himself is incredibly supportive, professional, and knowledgeable, and always happy to help. We would definitely come back and can highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.

Liked: The hotel manager, Digna Mwacha, provided exceptional service. She was incredibly responsive even before we arrived—coordinating our transport and making sure everything ran smoothly when our flight was delayed. She ensured our group had clean, comfortable rooms with a private soaking pool, which was a wonderful touch. One of the most meaningful parts of our stay was a school visit that Digna helped us arrange. We brought donations and got to see an incredible program supporting local moms and kids. It was truly impactful. We also had a traditional dance performance that we had planned in advance—it was fantastic! The energy was so fun, and we even joined in. Such a joyful way to spend the evening. And the pizza from the restaurant? So good!
