Modern facility with young, friendly and enthusiastic staff. Excellent location across the road from a large supermarket, yet extremely peaceful and quiet outside the hostel day and night. Restaurants are nearby and the ferry terminal is an easy 5-minute walk away. The hostel had a shared kitchen which we did not use. Stay Hostel 2 has an elevator. Moto-scooter and motorbike rental is offered. Room photos and description (for our room type at least) matched the property's listing exactly. The property seemed spotlessly clean and very well taken care of. Room was bright and featured a private balcony with street view, fridge, kettle, a table and a chair. The bed: after staying in many hotels and guesthouses throughout Vietnam, Stay Hostel 2 had the comfiest mattress we've encountered here. This was a "western-style" pillowtop mattress and it was luxurious and very welcome! Sheets and comforter (duvet) were fresh, soft and clean-smelling. Honestly, we cannot express how much we appreciated a soft mattress instead of the typical hard, uncomfortable foam mattresses which seem common here. It was like sleeping on a cloud! Wi fi connection was strong and reliable and upload/download speeds were excellent. Aircon worked and ran quietly. The shower had excellent water pressure and very hot water day and night. Large bottles of pleasant-smelling shampoo and shower gel were provided. There was an exhaust fan in the bathroom and therein lies one of our only complaints with our room - see below.
