Burhan's used to be located on the actual Golden Beach with very modest facilities and recently moved to this "upgraded" and "elevated" spot. It has one of the best sunrises from the sea and the facilities are new and clean. The clientele during our visit was a mixture of locals and tourists. The pool area has an excellent vacation vibe and all the rooms share 3-4 wifi hotspots. During my test one evening by the pool I was able to get 18mbit which is very good for North Cyprus standards, especially considering remote Karpaz location. Just understand that there might be power cuts or interruptions to service in this country and do not depend on internet for video calls into your board meetings. The breakfast has a variety of egg and cheese dishes, some juice and Nescafe that you would find in a bed/breakfast. Tasty but nothing fancy.

A Perfect Countryside Getaway I recently had the pleasure of staying at this cozy house, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The accommodation itself is clean, inviting, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need for a relaxing escape to the countryside. The guesthouse is located in the outskirts of Rizocarpasso and is well signposted and easy to find. It’s an old monastery with a lovely courtyard. The breakfast is Mediterranean with cheeses, vegetables and honey & jams. Upon request you can order dinner. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Location is great if you are visiting Karpaz and not specifically want sea view. The access to the beaches is only a few minutes drive, and since you still need a car to get to Karpaz area, the property location is very good. We were absolutely charmed by Kamila and her staff, who made us feel at home even though we only stood one night. The garden that surrounds the bungalows of the property is absolutely neat and nicely diversified between the veggies and the flowers. Not only we recommend this place, but if we go to the same area again it will be our choice of accomodation.

Charming buildings, very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was right on top of the arch. It had a beautiful view of the sunset. We had everything we needed in the room. Special thanks to Oprah for all the help and amazing breakfast she prepared for us. The manager gave us great recommendations for what to do around the peninsula. We hope to be back soon.

We stayed here after visiting the donkeys and the beautiful coastline of Karpaz National Park, and we truly enjoyed our stay. This family-owned and operated guesthouse immediately made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious enough for the four of us and included a table with four chairs. The shower had wonderfully hot water, and the breakfast was amazing—featuring homegrown olives and Grandma’s handmade jams. What made our stay truly special was Arzu’s warmth and friendship. She shared her family’s history and how they came to own and operate the guesthouse, giving us valuable insight into the Turkish Cypriot perspective on life in North Cyprus. That kind of cultural exchange was exactly what we were hoping for and can sometimes be difficult to experience due to the language barrier. We hadn’t arranged transportation back to South Cyprus, and Arzu’s older son—who is finishing his doctorate in hotel management—kindly drove us back. During the nearly two-hour drive, he shared many stories and perspectives that deepened our understanding of this side of Cyprus. The family is also expanding their business: they are opening a restaurant that will be run by this son, Ata (who studied culinary arts as an undergraduate), as well as a gift shop featuring handmade souvenirs created by Arzu. A truly lovely place. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in authentic hospitality and meaningful cultural connection.
