South AfricaWhat a find. Everything about this well located guest house is excellent. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The host who checked me in was charming. The breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked and there was plenty of options from the buffet table. There is a sparkling pool to cool off in and the gardens are picture perfect. The communication from the owner was prompt, giving direction before arrival, to dealing with all my requirements. If only everyone run there business like this it would be a pleasure to travel. I will definitely be using this guest house on all future visits to Cape Town. Can highly recommend.

Nice, quiet and fairly safe village.
Nice, quiet and fairly safe village. Close enough to Cape Town and major shopping centres, if that is your thing. Plent of nice restaurants in the vicinity, as well as a couple of wine farms with restaurants.

Had an amazing time at Durbanville Pool House!
Had an amazing time at Durbanville Pool House! 😊 The vibe was chilled, the pool was refreshing, and the location was perfect. Great spot for a relaxing day out or a fun gathering with friends and fam.
The room was right by the pool, braai facilities were a few steps away, and the area was private - it was purrfect for our anniversary! The owner's surprise champagne and mug gift set was the icing on the cake 💖. Highly recommend for couples, backpackers, or anyone looking for a chill vibe!

Nestled in winelands, with pictureqsqe mountain backdrops - this is small town grown big yet retains the heart of civility.
There's something for everyone - outdoors lovers, shops, Lindt chocolate sotres - and a lot of great restaurants such as Jean to choose from.
It's conveniently located to Stellenbosch and on the wine route, within an hour of Cape Town airport, and arguably has the best cardiologist and some of the best medical facilities in South Africa.
Downside - the accomodation is not nearly as good as the internet and Bookings.com photo's suggest. Don't trust the ***** star ratings - complete BS, unverified.

The outside view of the rooms is not appealing. The moment I landed at the place, before i could walk inside the property, I felt like I made a mistake. But one you enter the house, you feel like you are somewhere different from the outside place.

It was a short trip, but we could have stayed longer if we could.
We attended a wedding at Lichtenburg Farm Wedding Venue and visited the V & A Waterfront the next day, having lunch at Quay Four.
Also had supper at Cape Town Brauhaus in Durbanville. With GPS it was not too bad.
The only time that was really problematic, was the traffic heading back to the airport. It took us 1 and a half hour, almost missing our flight.

The welcome reception was absolutely amazing, everything we would’ve wanted to know was covered by the friendly lady. Although we didn’t use it, it was great that there was a selection of drinks and snacks available if we needed. The rooms were nice, comfortable. The guest house also accommodated us with a different check in time and everything was perfectly ready for us when we arrived - thank you for that! I’ll definitely recommend Schoongezicht!!!

Well equipped with all the necessary equipment and little extras like Milk / Coffee / Tea / Rusks all of good quality brands.
Good water pressure and a great shower head. The unit was very clean and well amintained. Excellent value for Money.
Will stay here again when i travel to Cape Town in the future.

It was home away from home. Debbie has gone the extra mile to ensure that you'll want for nothing. The unit is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. The cleanliness is outstanding. I felt very safe. This is definitely my go to place in Durbanville without a doubt. I highly recommend it.
