NetherlandsThis stay is among the most memorable and enjoyable we've ever had. The hostess was welcoming and resourceful, particularly during the storm and flood on the 25th of September. When all around us was chaos and closure, she graciously allowed us to stay with her, providing a safe harbor.
The owner also personally prepares breakfast for her guests, serving a delicious array of options including yogurt, orange juice, fresh fruits, and a choice of warm breakfast dishes. Her personal touch, combined with the estate's harmonious blend of traditional charm and modern amenities, such as the pool, created an ambiance of homely hospitality, making our stay utterly delightful and remarkable. The estate itself, rich in quaint, traditional elegance, yet modernly equipped, felt like a warm, welcoming home, ensuring a splendid stay for us.

I have always loved the town of Montagu, it's quaint and has...
I have always loved the town of Montagu, it's quaint and has interesting spots to eat at and enjoy and one always feels welcome by the people that work and live there. We love the hot springs there too. Life does shut down pretty much after dark and Sunday afternoons but not necessarily a bad thing when you're there for a 'break'.

This was the worse experience my family and I ever had at...
This was the worse experience my family and I ever had at any Holiday resort, the safety of my family was put in harms way when a man broke into our unit at Montagu springs Golden terrace in the early hours of the morning. I had my wife and two young children sleeping whilst a stranger broke into our place with sinister intentions,luckily we woke up just in time before anything could worse could happen.

The resort is neat and tidy, clean and well run.
The resort is neat and tidy, clean and well run. The staff are friendly and helpful. I liked the fact that there was a fireplace in the unit. I did not like the outdated bathroom and kitchen. The resort could do with a Kiosk.

Beautiful town. Lovely people.
Beautiful town. Lovely people. But sadly many galleries and restaurants were closed or closed early as it was the Easter weekend… which is strange as there were people visiting the town! You had to be strategic to eat out in the evenings and the town only has a Spar and superette where you can get provisions - should you need them. If you don’t have a stove to cook on - it becomes complicated!

The town is neat and has many interesting buildings and places to visit.
The people are very friendly and helpful.
I recommend staying a few days.

A quaint town tucked away in the mountains of the western...
A quaint town tucked away in the mountains of the western cape, a true paradise for hikers, relaxers and tourists alike.
It offers a lot of really great restaurants and shops.
Very safe, easy to navigate all while being surrounded by beautiful scenery.

I loved staying in the African Rondaval with its thatched roof etc. My travel companion was not so keen (small second bed) so that is a matter of personal choice. Hotel in downtown Montagu which must be the deadest place on a Saturday night in the World. Fortunately the hotel has a nice dining room with a great menu so we didn't go hungry. The town looks like a nice enough place but just make sure you are not visiting at the weekend. Two swimming pools, secure parking and very nice b'fast. Great choice for an overnight on Route 62.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Abundant Grace to unwind and relax after a long roller-coaster year. The accommodation was very nice, and the best part of our visit was the walking distance from our actual holiday destination Avalon Springs. The hosts Siva and Sharlene Pillay were wonderful in terms of top-notch hospitality, as well as the information shared about Avalon Springs Resorts in Montagu, best price and the surrounding area was extremely interesting.

The property is situated just outside of Montagu but it makes you feel as if it is much further. All you need is on the farm, you don't really need to go anywhere to see something. There is a 3km & 5km route to walk and has an amazing view the whole route. Clean and organized as well as the "Old Farmhouse" feel which is great but in a modern way. Everything you think you need is already there.
