Lots to see and do in the village and surrounding areas.
Lots to see and do in the village and surrounding areas. Plenty of restaurants, art shops, olive tastings, wine tastings and an Easy 1hr drive from Cape Town so very accessible for a weekend stay or longer.

Visit Het Vlok Casteel, The Barn, Deli-co butcher, Panerra Bakery,, LaParrilla, The Royal Hotel, Wunderkammer, lots of restaurants and coffee stops with excellent foods. Very easy to drive and walk around.

The town of Riebeek-Kasteel is beautiful and has some great places. We love the Barn or Felix Cafe for breakfast or lunch, with Au Bouchon Rouge a great dinner option. Definitely have a gin and tonic on the verandah of The Royal Hotel.

What a beautiful quaint town.
What a beautiful quaint town. Certain of the restuarants need to rethink what they present to their patrons as their menus were misrepresentations of their meals
However we had excellent service and food, lunch and breakfast in Riebeeck-west at Cucina Krematart which also had a beautiful nursery next door which had unusual plants.Their Terbourdore coffee was fabulous like usual.

We love Riebeek-Kasteel and attend the Solo Studio art event...
We love Riebeek-Kasteel and attend the Solo Studio art event every year and have been doing so for the past 3 years. It is such a quint little Village with lovely shops and restaurants and the art is is amazing!
Some great wine farms like Kloovenberg close by and we love this farm and what it offers.
As it is just an hour out of Cape Town it is a must visit!

Riebeek Kasteel is quaint and old world charm.
Riebeek Kasteel is quaint and old world charm. The people we met were helpful and friendly.I would recommend that you lock your valuables in the boot of your car as petty theft c an be an issue. There are enough eateries for eveyones taste. Best thing to do is park your car and meander.

This was an amazing place which fully exceeded my expectations. The cottage itself was immaculate, well-decorated, cosy and felt like a home away from home. The facilities were wonderful and clean. The garden makes you feel like you’re in another world. The owner is so friendly and truly a lovely person. If you are thinking of booking a place in Riebeek-Kasteel I would highly recommend choosing this cottage as you will not be disappointed.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - right in the centre of town. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the bar is definitely worth a visit. The Rijstafel was outstanding - what an experience! We highly recommend it. Breakfast was also excellent - and included in the room rate.

This guesthouse is a true gem and absolutely high value for money. Antonio and his staff are very kind and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Me and my boyfriend had a wonderful stay and will highly recommended this piece of heaven in Riebeek-Kasteel.
