Cottages in Buxton

What an absolutely amazing stay. I visited and stayed over one night for my work Christmas party. The weather was horrendous and I was already over and hour late and quite stressed. I contacted the hosts to ask for help in booking a taxi so that I could literally arrive and jump straight in, to travel to the venue. No trouble at all for Paul. I arrived, was shown my beautiful cosy little room and the taxi came imminently. Paul was so helpful and friendly and even searched my boot for a brolly! The room was just perfect, with all the facilities you would expect. It was lovely and warm I felt very safe staying alone. Breakfast was outstanding. What a lovely, easy, peaceful and stress free stay. I work in the area and so will definitely go back when I have to stay over again, thank you both.

Beautifully decorated, quiet, relaxing open plan apartment, perfect for a romantic getaway

Very well presented cottage, we loved all the little decorative touches as soon as we walked in. Everything was clean and it felt very cozy. The parking was easy directly Infront of the cottage. Fantastically located with everything you could want/ need within 5mins walking. We enjoyed walking around Buxton and trying all the restaurants and bars, we recommend Lubens which was our favorite. Overall great little cottage and cant wait to visit again.

Location Accommodation Host thought of everything

Helen & Gordon were exceptional hosts: making us feel welcome when we arrived and offering suggestions for local sightseeing and adventures. The surprise welcome box with wine and goodies was very appreciated! The cottage was perfect for my daughters and I - with an open-plan kitchen and spacious lounge. The bedrooms were lovely, with very comfy beds. The sweeping vistas from the bedroom were stunning- magical to wake up to in the morning. The location is perfect for exploring Buxton, and the surrounding area. We highly recommend this cottage- cosy, with amazing views and ideal for exploring Derbyshire and further afield.

The location, was very good. Just a short walk from the town and its wonderful sites. Overall the property was comfortable, and we would stay there again.

Peak View is in a great rural location but is only a ten minute drive away from Buxton. There are footpaths you can access from the house and it is very quiet.

The facilities are spectacular. The communication with our host was very good. The views breathtaking. The walks lovely.. even when busy it felt really peaceful. Great tips from our host on where to walk.

This house worked well for our month long visit to Buxton. The location was perfect for us. It’s a 20 minute walk from the train station and downtown is a 5 minute bus ride, with a bus stop steps from the house. There is a park with a children’s play area across the street and a pub on the corner that can be noisy at night. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic equipment for simple cooking. Including a decent fridge and freezer. We only had a car for part of the time we were there and never had trouble finding a space on the street in front of or very near the house. All the rooms were spacious enough to not feel cramped. We did find the couches a bit hard but there were loads of pillows to make them more comfy. There were modern amenities including a tv in each bedroom and charging ports on the side lamps in both the living room and bedrooms. The best part for us was being a 5 minute walk from the public footpaths and countryside. We enjoyed many early morning and evening walks.
