Cottages in Coniston

The location is amazing and the views are hard to beat. The quiet and nice hotel really lets you escape and just take a breath. The staff are helpful and nice. The rooms are spacious. The bar and restaurant really help you stay put and enjoy the stay.

Its was absolutely gorgeous I loved being there so peaceful didn't won't to come home

We were immediately welcomed and given a tour of the beautiful building, including the garden and the two lounges. Everywhere was kept toasty thanks to the fire places, and there were lots of books and board games available to pass the time. Our room was spacious, clean and kept supplied with lush hot chocolate, tea, etc. We had a fantastic view of the lake too. The staff were absolutely wonderful and couldn't be more helpful. Had a lovely chat with Ed one day, then Angela the next! The food was fantastic, I would highly recommend grabbing at least one dinner there, and definitely go down for breakfast every day. Wonderful selection, and exceedingly tasty. Incredibly cooked by the owner and solo chef, Richard!

Everything about our stay was fantastic ☺️ it was clean, host was helpful and got back to us straight away. We didn't need anything during our stay after checking in but the communication on our way there was great and I have no doubt if we needed anything that the host would have been more than happy to help. The place itself was cosy, clean and just a great lovely place to stay. Would love to go back in summer.

Perfect for a lads weekend away walking/running. Not in the place that long, so really good. We also cooked big meals for all us, over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Location is perfect and you can go a great pub crawl in the langdale valley, from Elterwater out to the old Dungeon Ghyll

Lovely location and lovely place. Had everything we needed. Great for just walking around. Loved the wood burner. Great size for a small family and pet friendly. Would just recommend getting a new double bed since the one there felt loose and was quite noisy. For someone who has light sleep it was quite a challenge, when ever turning or seating it squeaked a lot. Other than that it's all great.
