Location was perfect for walking into the centre even through the snow! Nice size for the 4 of us and wished we could have made more use of the facilities. There were problems with the boiler and electricity but hosts were excellent with their responses.

We stayed for one night as we had a wedding the day after. The property was in a perfect location just 10 mins drive from Whitworth Hall and Deer park where the wedding was. Also only 15 mins casual stroll to The Green Tree pub and restaurant where we had a great meal. Also a great location to nip into Durham as well. Exceptionally clean, warm and comfortable property with everything you need. Also a beautiful garden if you're staying there during the warmer months. Great communication from Steve and Jane throughout. Highly recommend this property.

Great location for us close to family and town center. Easy to walk to town center (some hills), nature area, local pub. Durham is lovely - and we spent time at the cathedral and walks around the river and old town. Plenty of parking at the house (note - very difficult/impossible to park for free in Durham center). Sun room and garden were lovely - spent much of our time there. Kitchen very good - able to cook meals (large refrigerator and lots of cabinet space) and use coffee maker and dishwasher, wash clothes (good clothes line) and enjoy looking at apples and pears growing in the garden. Single upstairs bathroom, but modernized to immaculate. We slept so well - very quiet surroundings. Two sets of house keys was thoughtful. Durham has great local bus service if you need to leave the car, and get help on the way back!

A really great property. Although in a built up area, it was very quiet with easy access to lovely walks but also only about a 5 min walk to restaurants and shops. The property was very clean and well prepared - everything I needed in the kitchen, easy access and a very responsive and helpful host.
