Cottages in Otari

Wonderful house built by the owner Yasushi-san. Two comfortable bedrooms and more sleeping room on the 2nd floor. Heating system was working very well and kept us warm throughout our stay. It has all the essentials you need on holiday to cook and for entertainment. Wonderful location just beside Cortina resort. It is also possible to ski home directly from the slopes to the doorsteps! You can get discount vouchers from the owner for rentals and the shop. Audio for Onsen and lift tickets. The owner went the extra mile to help get snow socks for my car when it was stuck in heavy snow. We plan on coming back to stay one summer!

Words can't begin to explain how amazing our experience in Woody Island was, and it was mainly because of Mary and Mickey who took care of us. They went so far above and beyond anything we would have expected (our van didn't have chains, and it was sold out in Hakuba, and they still went out to find a solution for us. Our van got stuck in the snow so they got their van and pulled the car out and then proceeded to let us use their 4wd van for the evening). They are so warm and welcoming and such amazing hosts. They really made our gloomy day brighter, and they even got my daughter a present for her birthday. I don't know what we did to deserve such good people. Thank you so very much

Getting to the location was tough because of heavy snow, but the hotel instruction was very clear so that I could get the location without any trouble.

Host was very responsive to questions and helpful about what was available nearby outside of ski season. Bit of a drive to Nagano (65 mins) and to do tourist stuff we wanted, but accomodations were great and very peaceful. Would've been perfect if we planned to just stay in and enjoy the peace and quiet. Would be an Amazing stay during ski season as walking distance to the slopes. The coffee provided was great and kitchen well equipped.

It’s a spacious lodge with 3 bedrooms, each room has two beds. The house was warm with heaters. All facilitates was more than enough for snowboard/ski trip in Hakuba. Very cozy. Kudo-san was so nice, he even helped us out when our car fell into the ditch with one side wheels. He was very considerable welcome us every night and greet us in the morning, including swiping snow off of our car, which really made our trip smoother under the snow storm weather. Thank you so much for everything!
