The rooms were nice and very quiet. Gardens was beautiful, got Netflix and prime free off charge in the rooms along with a fridge and microwave. Which was handy being a hot day. Breakfast was lovely and overall I would definitely stay there again.

I recently stayed at a Holiday Inn Southend and it was a sublime belter. From the moment I arrived, I was treated like a VIP— Very Impressed Punter. The room was BOOM TING. I checked under the bed fully expecting to find a forgotten sock from 1997, but no, nothing. The bed was so comfortable I briefly considered playing 'JUMP' by Van Halen to the max. The staff acted as if they genuinely enjoy their jobs. The location was perfect: altho watching all the planes taking off, without going on holiday, was like someone dangling a Big Mac in front of you and not letting you have a bite. Overall, a barn-stormer of a stay. Clean, comfy and corking. If you know what it's like to sit on the Eiger while listening to banging drum n bass, this is for you.

Situated on Eastern Esplanade, overlooking Southend Beach, Pebbles Guest House offers wonderful sea views and cooked breakfasts. There is free parking, free Wi-Fi and a sun terrace.

We were met by the owner on arrival, who was very friendly. The room was beautiful and very clean, with views across the estuary. A nice feature of the room is the balcony, with a glazed section, so you can enjoy it in all weathers. The room was a little cold when we arrived (well, it was February) but turning on the supplied heater soon made it toasty. Absolutely gutted that our travel plans didn't allow us to try the breakfast - I've a feeling we really missed out there!

Located just 5 minutes’ drive from Lenham, Who'd A Thought It features a Champagne and oyster bar, along with free Wi-Fi in public areas.

This well-run location is an absolute gem and I'd be delighted to be able to stay again sometime in the future. The rooms were well equipped and spacious, the dining and breakfast experience were exceptional and the bar was well stocked and staffed to boot! My partner and I were both pleasantly surprised by this upscale venue and felt very well looked after by the friendly and obliging staff throughout our stay. Thank you so much, this was a real treat and highlight of our holiday!
