The hotel was nice . Although the location is such that you need to have your own car . The staff were very friendly and adjusting. For meals like dinner, we had to book in the advance in the morning as the kitchen would be busy . Room was really nice and big .... beautiful rooms ....

The English style I wanted! Staff were very friendly. Food is amazing. Room was big and clean with L’ocitane amenities. Nice.

Although I have one or two manageable health considerations, I always feel safe and confident to travel and stay at The Fleece. The highly professional staff seem naturally gifted to make me feel supported and understood. They all take time to answer my questions, modify my menu choice, carry my bag up and down the stairs for me and guide me to my room. Comfort at The Fleece is excellent on every level. It is like staying with family. I have traveled and stayed at many hotels, yet truly, none compair to my exemplary experience at The Fleece.

Such an interesting house filled with quirky furniture, inspired interior fit out and a truly charming lot of hosts/staff. Delicious & extensive selection at breakfast was beautifully presented in a lovely setting.. Super convenient location for transport into town centre. Restaurants, patisserie etc. close by. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were just as interesting and attractive as their hotel.

Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel consists of three buildings, including two 19th century manor houses and is located in the surrounds of Iffley Village, only 2 miles from the center of Oxford.

A hotel with an amazing character. The staff are so attentive, I only stayed for 2 nights but they all referred to me by name and remembered my tea order at night without asking. I am so impressed! I will be back again!
