Family hotels and homes in Aso

Great location, free parking, excellent facilities including laundry, food and drink vending machine, and a wonderful communal eating area with microwave, toaster oven, coffee machine. Room looked out toward Mt Aso. Hotel is next to railway station. There are a couple of restuarants and a Lawsons nearby.

Very good food both dinner and breakfast, great staffs in the dinner room, and excellent onsens

The staff was very helpful. I was asking him to call another hotel because I can't speak Japanese.And he is eager to help. Thank you so much. The hotel is very nice, the spa is so huge. Bedroom is wonderful good view even without shower. Recommended.

Nice staff (JP speaking but patient). They went out of their way to serve us local specialities for dinner. Everything perfectly clean and spacious.

The location (next to Aso station) was really convenient - a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the area. The accommodation was cozy and clean, with great washing facilities. There are restaurants and food stores in walking distance. And the view of the mountains all around is amazing. Would definitely recommend to people traveling through Kyushu as a place to rest for a few days!

The Japanese-style room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The property has public hot springs for men and women as well as two private hot springs. Everything you need to enjoy them is provided. The staff is amazingly patient and hospitable. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and provided with a welcome drink and snack. The staff carried my luggage up the stairs to my room. I wish I had spent more than one night here and very much look forward to returning in the future.

We love the rustic original feel of the old house. The hostess was an amazing host with great English .She is very friendly and helpful. The food are delicious with the huge variety of local dishes served. Did not have repeats for the two nights we stayed. Due to snowing, our transport company cancelled our trip, She was very kind help us to solve for transport and her husband sent us to the Aso station .We were very appreciative for their kindness.

Yochi the owner is very kind nd trying to look after us super well. I forgot something, he kindly sent it to me at different town for free. Very impressive

Spacious for two people and very clean. It was a cute little cabin amongst other cabins on the land. Picture instructions were very helpful when figuring out how to locate the cabin. It was easy to do the self check-in and get ourselves inside. They had binder instructions once inside (in both Japanese and English) and that was all very helpful. Th kitchenette, room, dining area, and bathroom were all very spacious for us two. They also had a cute outside patio area and table for two if you want to hang outside among nature. We wished we used it but it was raining that day. Definitely further away from everything, but we got a lot of supplies before we got to the cabin. Would definitely stay here again. Location was really nice and peaceful among nature.

This property is a building split into 2 large modern apartments; we, two couples, booked both of them together. Each apartment has 2 bedrooms and can easily accommodate a family with kids or 2 couples (single bathroom, though). There also a large sitting area, an open kitchen, and a small closed yard/garden in the middle of the building, between the 2 apartments. The private parking was very convenient. It's a self-service property, so all communication with the owner company was online in advance, and the code for entering the apartments (using a keypad-controlled lock) was sent to us in advance after tediously filling in all the info of the guests (including passport copies etc., as required in Japan...)

The service was outstanding and incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure comfort and were very accommodating.

Nice location near the station, like 6min walk. Open and clean public space to chat and make friends, the room is also clean and comfortable.

Easy 10 min walk from Uchinomaki station, so accessible also without a car (just watch the train schedule since trains are only once per hour or so). This is just one train stop from Aso station, so provides easy access to Mt. Aso and the surrounding area. The kitchen is fully equipped (cutlery, pans, condiments, etc) and there is a small grocery store nearby to buy ingredients. Rooms are large, and there is a kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a japanese - style bathroom. The piano in the living room was a great and unexpected bonus. We were passing through and only stayed one night, but it would have been a great base to explore the Aso area and we would have loved to stay for longer.
