I needed a place to stay the night before flying out of Fiumicino because the airport Hilton was booked, and it served that purpose just fine. Especially because the owner was able to arrange a ride for me from the home to the airport at 6:00 a.m., which was very helpful. The room itself was nice, clean and comfortable with a private bathroom. The exterior was attractive and very well maintained. The price was good for the location. My overall impression is that this establishment is designed so that it can be mostly or largely self-service. No staff was on the premises to greet me, but the owner sent me good instructions for how to use the pushbutton locks for the front gate and the front door to the building, and the combination padlock on the door that contained the room keys. My impression was that the property occupies an interesting niche somewhere between a hostel and a B&B for people coming to and from the airport who don't need anything fancy.

The place is great. Very beautiful green areas and gardens. Nice buildings. Not too beautiful rooms, very old style and need some refurbishing. Also some things are missing, like an iron and a phone to call reception. There is no room service apparently. Friendly staff at hotel. Less friendly at the pool and restaurant.

Hotel Gardenia Sirmione is 1640 feet from the Stabilimento Termale Virgilio spa. It offers a garden with outdoor pool, a sun terrace and free parking.
