Very nice stay! We had a very warm welcome. Everything was great, nice surprise for our honeymoon, decoration in the room was amazing. The dinner excellent, very fresh and tasty food. Nelson was very helpful, he arranged transportation for us. The staff really kind and polite.

What a beautiful property in the Bentota surrounds. I came here due to the glowing reviews and yet was still blown away. The rooms are so grand, comfortable and gorgeous gardens. Nishanti and her husband are genuinely gorgeous souls who want for all of their guests to have the best experience. They put so much thought into absolutely everything from welcoming you, to the presentation of the rooms, helping you get around town and with recommendations and a Devine breakfast on the balcony in the morning. I went out to clean the tuk tuk id hired and Nishanti came to give me a hand just to share in conversation and share the workload. It was truely the most memorable stay I had in my two weeks in Sri Lanka. Until next time! Miss you already!

The host is really friendly, everything was super clean, exceptional breakfast, the room is really comfortable and clean, the location is waking distance to the beach! Good value for money! Wifi is available but it’s slow in general in that area I am sure it was highest possible speed. If I ever come back to Bentota I’ll definitely stay there!

I was recommended to stay here after my family visited in December. You really are made to feel welcome. I had a late arrival 3:30am and the young man was awake to let me in with a smile. Communication was fantastic from making the booking through to the period of my stay. Breakfast was plentiful consisting of eggs different each day, fruit, toast, fruit juice and tea/coffee. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. It was obvious to see that there was attention to detail with having the room looking nice. There was even a fridge and the air conditioning worked well. The bed was also very comfortable. Very little noise from outside. They even helped me with my next train. Thanks so much, I highly recommend.

Our stay at Happy Man Village was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at in Sri Lanka. The dinner, breakfast, hospitality and environment were fantastic. The garden of the hotel is well-maintained and particularly beautiful at night. Furthermore, the rooms are really clean and the outside shower is a big plus! We truly recommend this hotel!

This is a new hotel just opened a few weeks ago and I was delighted with the place. They have a positively amazing pool - one of the largest I've encountered. The rooms are very large and the king size bed had a luxury-level mattress, making me feel right at home. Breakfast (included in the rate) is cooked to order and you can order lunch or dinner (additional cost but very reasonable) to sample authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. While not directly on the beach, you can easily walk there in less than five minutes. There are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. Oliviana is located directly opposite the train station and the hotel staff will call a tuk tuk to pick you up for local visits to other places. I attended a dance/cultural show at the Bentota Cultural Center which is just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. (I believe that it is every Wednesday and Saturday and the price was only 3,000 rupee). If you want to take the train to Bentota for sightseeing, it costs only 20 rupee! The hotel has free WiFi which was very convenient. While I did not have a car or driver, they have parking and driver accommodations for those on longer trips with guides.
