The location was the perfect spot to rest after starting the hike from the Naxi Family Guesthouse. The view is amazing, a real highlight , we had a great little balcony to sit and enjoy. The room was clean and spacious, way better than other huts we’ve been in during hikes in Europe. The facilities are good, there is a good restaurant with lots of meal options for breakfast and dinner, and the tigerbucks coffee is a beautiful (albeit expensive) place to sit and enjoy the view. There are plenty of signs during to hike to the halfway so we didn’t have any problem finding it.

Beautiful courtyard, adorable dog. The room was clean and warm. Everyone at the guest house was incredibly friendly, especially the "Teacher" was well traveled and interesting to chat with. He was also knowledgeable about the Tiger Leaping Gorge and arranged a carpool to drop me off at the trail head, deliver my luggage to the end point, then bring me to Lijiang train station on day 2. I was also added to a WeChat group with the driver and the guesthouse staff, and since I don't speak Chinese, it was really helpful to have them jump in when I needed something.

The cleanliness of the room and location was perfect. The staff (ie Jing Jing) went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They also helped organize our day trips. The A/C is strong relative to most places we have stayed at in China.

Beautiful courtyard. Weather wasn’t great but the environment could not have been better. On a side street so not much foot traffic outside, but you’re completely enclosed in the courtyard when inside. I was the only guest at the time, so I had full attention from the staff as well as complete privacy besides the three workers including the landlord, who came to spend time on the property at night. I can speak Chinese so I spent time with the workers drinking tea and chatting. I could not have asked for a better stay in Dali. It was everything I imagined and more.

Jacky's Guesthouse has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Yuanyang. The property has room service, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests.

We had a wonderful stay at Jacky's Guesthouse. The house is located at the lower end of the village and our room had an open view out into the rice fields. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Jacky is super nice and a great host! He picked us up at the train station and dropped us off for the bus to Banna, which he organized for us. He also prepared food and gave valuable recommendations for our hike. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay and I highly recommend his place if you are looking for a nice, local experience and a friendly host.

Great position right in the pedestrian precinct of the "ancient city". Tashi was very helpful about where to catch buses to get around the city, to the monastery and a taxi back to the train station. The ginger tea was very welcome and breakfast was very good.
