Incredible stay. We imagined it as an apartment but it is actually a bigger accommodation with many rooms. Everything is impeccable, complementary coffee, there is a mini bar (of additional charge, but not more expensive than supermarkets), bathroom is heaven and a bed almost as comfortable as the one we have at home. The place is really quiet, homey and private, not to mention super safe since they have a very good locking system. It is easy to park in the street, forget about being theft scared, the neighborhood is casual and the cars are safe out in the street, for sure. Now, if you are not comfortable with leaving the car in the street, there is a private parking lot very close to the accommodation and it costs 10€ per day. Lastly, the staff is really kind and helpful and the young woman at the reception speaks great English! We saw people commenting on how the breakfast bar is far away, but honestly it is just down the corner and the food is what they usually serve for breakfast, pastry and coffee, which really was enough, in my opinion. If you are still hungry or crave something savory, you can buy yourself some mini pizzas or panini right there in the bar.

The location and the good taste. The friendship of the people and the breakfast outside. Perfect!! We stay in a duplex directly to the street. Beautiful. There are others rooms also very nice.

Giuseppe was a wonderful host making sure we were taken care of. Made lunch reservations and when we woke up we had fresh local pastries and mine gluten free waiting for us Will definitely be going again.

Great location next to the sassi. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff were very responsive and helpful in guiding for check in (including parking recommendations) and local recommendations in terms of what to do in Matera.

Very clean room on a very busy, lively street. No cars allowed on street. That was nice. Tons of restaurants and cafes, close to Sassie. Great location!

We had a lovely stay Magnificat Luxury Rooms and the host Daniele was most accommodating and very kind. He secured us a parking spot in the morning of our arrival (free) and waited for us until we navigated there. Then he loaded our luggage in his car and took us to our accommodations. There is a lovely modern foyer/entry way which was a surprise from the outside of the building looks historic! Our room was GORGEOUS, a mix of old and new - stone and plaster with gold accents, furniture and lighting. The HUGE jetted tub was a nice touch and open to the room. There is a small table and chair area next to it for your morning coffee. The views from the balcony were beautiful! The location is perfect for exploring Matera. There are many restaurants and cafes near by. We even found a lovely wine shop with the kindest proprietor and we bought a lovely bottle of Puglia white to enjoy on the balcony, after a long day of walking. The room is very quiet and bed very comfortable. The full bathroom was large as well and well appointed. We hope to return to the fascinating city of Matera again some day and would love to stay in Magnificat Rooms again. We highly recommend!
