Dog-friendly, centrally located, nice staff!

Rosa is an excellent hostess. She's very easy going and happy to help in any way. The apartment is cute and comfortable and in a quiet building. There's a coffee machine in the room (which I didn't use) and full access to the kitchen. Wifi worked well, as did the air conditioner in my room. However, because you can cover the window with electric blinds during the heat of the day to keep the room cool, I only used the a/c for a few minutes even on a very hot day. The bathroom is immaculate and the powerful shower system felt wonderful after long hot days of hiking. I chose to park on the street across from her building and was always able to find a parking spot. I chose her location based on the ease of getting to the places I was interested in such as hiking El Torcal, visiting Ronda and Setenil de las Bodegas, hiking the Caminito del Rey and touring La Alhambra. All of these towns or activities were super easy to access from her place. It's a nice, friendly, clean and active neighborhood. People are out walking their dogs or teams are playing football (soccer) at the soccer grounds that you can see from the bedroom. A good supermarket is literally a one minute walk away. There are quite a few restaurants close by, too. Access to the old city and its attractions is about 8-10 minutes by car, 25-30 minutes by foot. I highly recommend Rosa and her apartment as a home base if you are staying in Antequera.

Aurora was so helpful from the off. The trains were cancelled so we got a bus and found ourselves a bit lost!! Aurora even offered to pick us up when we arrived. As for the house...absolute 10/10 for everything. It's a beautiful little house, spotlessly clean and in an ideal location. There was complimentary coffee, tea and bottled water but we drank the beautiful water from the tap. Thanks for everything Aurora and I really hope to go back again.
