Perfect location, spotlessly clean, comfy room, fantastic breakfast

Samantha & Stephanie were wonderful host. Stephanie checked me in and I appreciate her help with booking an extra night with Old Manse. Samantha cooked a really good breakfast each morning. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi & apple) & plain yogurt. She also cooked great poached eggs & cereal was appreciated. One morning I had salmon & eggs and it was yummy. I failed to mention she had nuts & dried fruit to put on the yogurt…..lots of good choices. My room & bathroom were a good size and the bed very comfortable. I enjoyed my walks from the B&B to the town centre (exploring) & taking the bus to Bakewell and Haddon Hall were fun for a day. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Very comfortable room and beds in a great location! The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. It is obvious they love hosting and think of all the details to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful with large portions!

Mark was very friendly and welcoming. The attic was very comfy and perfect for our needs. The welcoming chocolate and Easter eggs was a lovely touch. Location excellent, close to stunning walks, beautiful Buxton and Manchester. Quiet and private.. We'd love to come again.

I couldn’t find anything to fault about this place, and I am a tough scorer! The location was perfect. It is overlooking the gardens and a short walk from numerous bars and restaurants. It was quiet and the bed very comfortable so we slept very well. The owners are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They even loaned us a map one day. The breakfast was excellent, with a lot of options including fruit, porridge, and muesli. The building itself is very well appointed and tastefully decorated with old images of the area.

Excellent location situated nicely in the heart of all areas of interest within the Peak District. Clean and cozy modern cottage that feels like a home. Kitchenware and utensils are fairly complete. (They even have chopsticks!) Quiet scenic views of the mountain right outside your windows. Beds are comfortable and smell fresh. Loved the stay here!
