The room was stunning, I couldn’t have asked for anything better and I had the best night sleep. The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. Perfectly located on a gorgeous and quiet street, with their own parking spaces. It's just one short block from all of the shops in Windermere, and a great hike to the lookout point for the views. Hop in your car for a short journey to the lake and more shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated, quiet, and inviting for a night in with a glass of wine in the lobby. The breakfast was lovely too, and the staff were very friendly. Loved all of the details in the room and the property. If you're interested in less touristy food, it's only a 30 minute drive to Ambleside, which has some fantastic restaurants and less tourists.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness.

We loved the location the best. Just a short walk to the pier, shops and restaurants. Our room was so clean and so comfortable. Bernard and his wife were so wonderful and welcoming. We were only there for a day but Bernard told us the best way to see the area and it was perfect. Be sure to try a lake cruise and the gingerbread in Grasmere! One of Bernard’s recommendations!
