My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion very much. The Swanage room was billed as a one bedroom apartment. It had two separate rooms for sleeping, and a very nice and modern bathroom. It looked as if the space had recently been renovated and the bathroom updated with a great shower. One room had a kettle and tea/coffee supplies, but there were no other cooking or food heating items. However the Red Lion is right in the heart of Swanage and there are lots of restaurants available, including the Red Lion pub itself. The apartment was quieter than I expected for a pub hotel, because the Red Lion accommodation is in a separate building across a car park, and not in the same building as the pub. It was very quiet. We had drinks in the pub, and liked the atmosphere very much.

Less than 5 minutes’ walk from the sea, Robertsbrook Guest House is located opposite the Swanage steam railway station.

Normally I don't like shared bathrooms, but in this case it was very acceptable, as there are multiple to choose from (basically right next to the room), and 1 or 2 were always available, so it wasn't really an inconvenience. The room was clean and nicely decorated, also functional in every aspect. Ideally located, close enough to the mall and train station, but luckily not noisy at all. Loved the small snacks and drinks that were available for guests in the dining room, plus the convenience of a microwave. Self-checkin and -checkout are always a big plus.

Little Robin Gate is a beautiful and eclectic property. It's a renovated 1930s house that the owner, David, lovingly restored. I had everything I needed for my stay and then some. The gardens and the exterior are peaceful and stately. The interior is immaculate and very comfortable. Additionally, there are bits of whimsy scattered throughout.

The Lily Pad near Poole Dorset Self contained private entrance and free parking is located in Poole, just 5.1 miles from Poole Harbor and 7.8 miles from Bournemouth International Center.
