Great location and very friendly staff. The property is not big but very well designed. Nice mattress and pillows. We had a small balcony to see part of the valley, which gave it a special touch.

Authentic ancient building was nothing short of Gorgeous! There were 3 rooms to this king size room. The bedroom had a full fireplace with candles. (unsure if the fireplace actually worked). The extra large king size bed was a bit firm for me, pillows could have been softer, but that is a personal preference. There was a writing desk and chair and 2 windows. Let's talk about the Bathtub lounge room! This had a huge claw foot tub in a cave like setting, complete with a separate waterfall shower and a handheld shower stem. This spacious room also contained a sitting sofa, and very large sink, espresso macine and mini frig. We felt like royalty! The romantic setting of the entire room was somewhat wasted on me, as I was traveling with my adult daughter. But this would be perfect for a romantic get away. There was a 3rd room containing the toilet, bidet and small sink and one window. The only negative was that you must step down an awkwardly big step into this room. There is a fantastic restaurant that is folded under the building, like a grotto with a gorgeous ceramic or clay wall sculpture. Great food, wonderful service in a unique setting. The manager was so gracious and energetic! I highly recommend this stay. Pienza is a gift! Not as many steps or steep inclines as in Siena or Montepulciano, both of which are also worth seeing.

Came there during a bike-packing event and was not sure when my arrival time would be. The hosts offered to wait for me and if I ended arriving very late in the night, offered to prepare some food and have it ready for me at arrival. The same was for the departure - if needed leaving very early in the morning, before the opening times of the restaurant. Honestly...I could not ask for more. Sine I arrived in time, I was able to taste the delicious food at the restaurant.
