Everything, lovely clean rustic living surrounded by nature and happy smiling faces. The food is excellent, from breakfast to dinner. And it is only 10 mins walk to a beautiful remote long beach with the added bonus your host Saman will guide you on a Turtle night tour, that will leave you with a life long memory. Saman has 16 years experience with turtles, and from his heart and conservation mind and red light you can spend the evening on the beach. The other brother provides a Tuk tuk service. We had a fantastic time at Peacock family stay.

Amazing small family run hotel. Extremely friendly service. Suranga one of the best host ever seen and great chief. Restaurant just perfect, great food for reasonable price. Booked for 3 night first but extended for 2 nights more. Highly recommend

Beautiful, serene and quiet space by the lagoon right off the beach. Ranjit was a sweet, genuine host and his wife made delicious traditional breakfast. All standards were surpassed. I look forward to returning for a longer duration as the price was a steal for it's quality. He even dropped us off to the bus stop in his tuk-tuk at the end of our stay.

Great room right on the most gorgeous beach! Everything you could want, air con, comfortable bed etc, in a great location. The owner and his family are lovely and super helpful! Would definitely recommend staying here in Tangalle :)

Absolutely love this homestay. The beach is a short 5 minute easy walk away and family is incredibly nice. The dinner was delicious and the room and bathroom are nice and clean. Would 100% recommend staying here.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks. Very nice large rooms, large balcony. The second floor has a high ceiling. Very tasty breakfasts. For dinner we had the best rockfish I had ever eaten. Everything in the hotel was of high quality - mattress, linen, towels. Excellent hot water pressure. The hotel was in a quiet location. One beach was a 5 minute walk, the other was in 10 minutes. The beaches are picturesque, huge, empty. One morning we walked several kilometers and met 3 persons. We saw many traces of large sea turtles. They crawl out of the sea at night and lay eggs at Rekawa beach. Swimming here is difficult because of the waves, but it is possible in small bays behind the rocks. Every day we met peacocks, monitor lizards, and monkeys. We were very grateful to Gintare and Chamy for their hospitality. Thanks to them, my birthday with cake and balloons was wonderful. They were always ready to help with any question. We hope to come here next year. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who loves silence and nature!

Turtle Moon Lodge didn't just meet our expectations, It beautifully surpassed them. The huge Deluxe Family Room, with its comfortable living area and balcony, was a haven of space and serenity. The indirect ambient lighting added a warm and inviting touch. Impeccably clean and offering excellent value, it came with all the modern comforts, including fast Wi-Fi. The balcony, in particular, became our cherished sanctuary, perfect for peaceful morning coffees as we listened to the birds singing. Each day began with a delightful breakfast spread, enjoyed while overlooking the lush green gardens and featuring a wonderful fusion of Western and Sri Lankan specialties. There was a generous variety of dishes, all prepared fresh, accompanied by tea, coffee, and local fruits such as mango, papaya, guava, pineapple, banana, and watermelon. The resort's prime location, just steps from the pristine beach, was an absolute privilege. We are especially grateful to the thoughtful owner for arranging our unforgettable tours. Witnessing the sea turtle hatchlings, the main attraction of this beautiful beach and colorful bird watching by the nearby lagoon were true highlights. What truly sets Turtle Moon Lodge apart, however, is its people. The owner's genuine warmth and willingness to go above and beyond made every moment feel special. In summary, our experience was nothing short of magical. The breathtaking scenery, exceptional service, and luxurious comfort have created memories we will forever treasure. We wholeheartedly recommend Turtle Moon Lodge to couples and families seeking a romantic, relaxing beach escape in Sri Lanka. We are already dreaming of our return.

This place is truly like paradise. We recommend it to you 100%, it has pristine nature and beach, and you can see animals like peacocks, mongooses, mouse deer, and parrots. In addition, the turtle area is very close.

The location is super peaceful and quiet, lots of animals right by the lagoon. 7 mins away from the beach. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I got stung by a jelly fish and got offered Aloe Vera right away which really helped me a lot. The breakfast and food in general is homemade and super super tasty. The coffee was also pretty good. I definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a super quiet and peaceful timeout to just relax and enjoy being surrounded by all kinds of peaceful animals.

The location is very peaceful and at a walkable distance to Tangalle (around 45 mins) and very close to the big wild beach. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean and equipped with all we needed. There is also a spacious patio with a hammock. Our host, Sureka, was very nice and always available. We had the best dhal curry and string hoppers there! Overall the perfect place to stay near Tangalle if you want to chill.

This is our first trip to Sri Lanka, and the first few days in Colombo were so tiring for us. But finally, we arrived at The Waves Beach Chalets, and it was our paradise, we could see birds and monkeys from our terrace. It was amazing. The host and his boys were super helpful, kind, and honest. He cares and helps us with everything. I felt so warm and touched. The service is beyond our expectations. The place is so clean and feel like we have our own beach which we can walk and see turtle next door. There are a few restaurants where we can walk from the property to have lunch or dinner. For breakfast will be served at a nice place where we can see the beach, it was super nice. Or if you would like to go somewhere else, the host also can help to arrange tuk-tuk with a reasonable price. We highly recommend this place in case you would like to come to Tangalle. The place is perfect.

- Fan in the room - Comfortable bed - Mosquito net - Great big breakfast on request (Sri Lankan style or European style) - Big toilet - WiFi is great - Quiet - Near the beach, restaurant and a small grocery shop - There is a small kitchen where anyone can cook - Staff is really friendly. They can orgainse the transport for you. - nearby you can rent canoes and scooters We chose the budget room with no hot water. But for us it was great because it was hot during the day and a cold (not iced cold) shower was great! I recommend it to all travellers! Great value for money! We wished we could have stayed more!

Loved that everything was clean, and felt very welcome. The hosts were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed! One of the nicest stays we’ve had in Sri Lanka.
