I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and all the amenities were exactly as described. I felt well taken care of during my entire stay. I’m very satisfied with the service and would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

Anne, Anton and their daughter Miranda were and are the most welcoming caring hosts. The communication from the beginning was very attentive and their welcoming us at the early hour of 3:45 am was very special! The location is just outside of Negambo city and so peaceful! You can easily walk to a little grocery store if you need something or get a ride into town to explore the beach, stores and restaurants. The home made Sri Lankan food for breakfast was a true feast and eating fresh fruits from their garden magical :) Anton helped us with money exchange and took us around the city to show us around and was full of wisdom to help us guide our next steps for our journey. The early mornings (sunrise time) on the balcony off of our room was one of my favorite memories and times at this stay.. listening to all of the birds and seeing the parrots come for a visit every morning was heavenly.. On Sunday, you could hear the faint sound of church bells and the distant sound of worship.. again heavenly ❤️ staying here allowed for us to quiet down from our hectic work lives and also open our hearts for the next part of our journey in Sri Lanka! I’m forever grateful for this first visit in Sri Lanka to be here at Parrot Paradise! I feel like I just stayed with very close friends and will be back again for sure! Heart is already feeling rested and we are just beginning!

Environment and clean atmosphere.

Of all the places I’ve stayed on my travels, this homestay honestly stands out as one of the most special. I arrived tired, a little anxious, and carrying the usual travel stress — and somehow my conversations with Renuka, the host, made all of that melt away. She has this calm, grounding presence that makes you feel instantly at ease. I slept so well and It truly felt like a home away from home, not just a place to sleep. The night I was too exhausted to head out for food, and without a second thought she offered to make me a late-night omelet sandwich. It sounds simple, but moments like that are what make a stay unforgettable — genuine care, not hospitality as a checklist. The homestay is tucked away in a peaceful part of Negombo, wonderfully quiet, yet still super easy to get around. Tuk-tuks, PickMe, and Uber are all readily available, so you never feel cut off. The house itself is warm and beautifully maintained, with that instant feeling of being in a real Sri Lankan home rather than a tourist spot. And then there’s her lovely cat and dog, who add even more to the homely, comforting vibe — especially if you’re missing your own pets while traveling. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel safe, relaxed, cared for, and genuinely welcome, this is it. I came as a guest and left feeling like I’d made a friend. I’d return in a heartbeat — and I think anyone who stays here will fall in love with it just like I did.

Totally exceeded our expectations! Even better than the photos and super friendly people treat you just like family. Such a clan and nicely decorated place and super comfortable beds, comforter and fluffy pillows on a soft bed. just what we needed! Also about as close as you can get to the rickshaw run start line so was a super location for us. No hot water but we didn’t even miss it.

Great hosts who couldn't have done more to help. Lovely house, fantastic weather. Swimming with the gorgeous labrador in the morning. Everyone was so friendly.
