This place is an absolute gem! Located right in the historic part of Takayama, which is very atmospheric. The accommodation is like a small apartment on two floors, is newly renovated, and has everything you need. Best of all, it has the most comfortable, cozy beds I've ever slept in! Such a lovely stay with the best okonomiyaki just down the road! Hospitality was amazing and even gave us some manju that they make in their shop to try!! Delicious! Perfect stay in a great location for the kumano kodo trail. Would definitely stay again!

The host was super sweet. She will make sure you make the best of your time in Gifu. I didn’t have much of an itinerary so she voluntarily made dinner and brought me to a mountaintop onsen. She will fuss over you like a mom would. I had a mosquito bite and she was so stressed! Her home was also very clean and comfortable. She made a wonderful breakfast for me before I left. This stay was one of the best memories of Japan and I hope to stay here again. Oh and she is very easy to contact with. She speaks minimal English but is very efficient over electronic communications. She also offers to drive you from to and from the station. I really can’t say enough good things!

We stayed here during the winter, but the place was warm and comfortable. It had everything we needed plus free condiments. We would love to stay here again!
