I loved everything about my stay at Hanthana Jungle View HH. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and there was a lovely outdoor sitting area to enjoy the serene surroundings. I also enjoyed morning walks up the road. I had spent a few days in the busy city of Kandy and was happy to come here to relax. I loved getting to know the family, who were so welcoming and helpful. I ate both breakfast and dinner there and the food was delicious and plentiful. There is also drinking water, tea and coffee in the shared kitchen so guests could help themselves.

Very clean. Looks brand new. Views amazing, right next to the giant hilltop Buddha statue over Kandy. Which thus an easy walk, up the stairs of the statue for even more amazing view of Kandy. Family very friendly. Included one free tuktuk drop off or pick up per day. Easy to communicate via the son thru whatsapp. The father understands some English & google translate. Easy walk to town in daylight hours. Nice breeze, in mornings i turned off a/ c & open sliding balcony door for cool fresh air, while watching sunrise.

The owners of Misty Clouds are lovely - caring and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The views out are pleasing. There's a sitting area inside or outside which are both comfortable and nice for relaxing or eating. The dinner was delicious and generous portions. Breakfast was simple and fine - egg and toast.

Room has very good view. Built is modern and well managed. Hot water was available all the time. It is near to Train station. Hosts are very helpful.

Hemeka and his team live on site and were responsive and thoughtful in all their actions. Due to some illness we spent much of our stay in the property but it was the most wonderful place to be tethered to. Kandy city is very busy with traffic but Liselma sits in a quiet and peaceful road with super birdsong and monkeys. We found ourselves so close to the lake, places to eat (and the private hospital for medication) but if you simply need a place to rest and breathe the elevated position above the city gives wonderful far reaching views and an interesting nightscape for a glass of wine on one of the balconies.

Nirosh and his family were superb hosts and made us feel right at home. Our room was massive, extremely clean and bathroom was nice and spacious. The house is well laid out and well kept with beautiful views. We thoroughly enjoyed the home cooked Sri Lankan breakfast (included) and dinner which we opted for as the house is approx 20 mins from city centre and it was well worth it! Nirosh walked us to the gym which is a 5 minute walk down the road (would recommend going early as it can get quite busy in the evenings). Would highly recommend staying at Deer Hill Rest if you are visiting Kandy.

Amazing place - this may be the best place I stay in Sri Lanka. It is not in city center but is a short tuk tuk ride away. The room is lovely, the bed huge and comfortable (best night sleep!) and the grounds are lovely (great for catching up on travel / life admin in a great setting). The food they served was fantastic. All in all I really loved my stay here and it the value for the cost was phenomenal.
