Traveled with the family, total 25 members. They let us stay in the house. The couple was really nice and helpful. The rooms and toilets were clean. For a family vacation, this place is really good. I would really recommend this place.

What a wonderful surprise! Our stay here was fantastic. The colonial-style villa is stunning, the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and the terrace and surrounding scenery is truly breathtaking. We loved the charming atmosphere of the property. We could not recommend this place more if you’re staying in Kandy!

Amazing place, maybe the best we had ever. Natural, in the middle of the nature. Lovely view over the river. Excellent place for relaxation. Generous service. Very attentive an smily staff, especially Buddhika. Very good breakfast. Amazing Yoga space. We were in room 10, new building, not view to the river, but to a valley. Joint small lobby with room 9. I had a very good massage with Ashoka.

We arrived at the Residence and were told by someone behind the gate that they were closed. We were left on the street with no place to stay. They accepted our reservation and had replied the day before accepting our arrival time.

Kumari and her staff were very welcoming. Kumari welcomed us with tea and biscuits, and shared about the area/her family's interesting history. She also organized a full day tour and transfer to sigiriya for us which went smoothly. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Garden and home beautiful.

Tens across the board! Jaliya and his family are the best. Such a beautiful home, peaceful setting, and lovely people. Outside of their outrageous kindness and hospitality, the food was really top-notch, with some of the best tea and breakfast settings I’ve ever seen. There is so much wildlife around the property, and we were connected with a wonderful driver who helped show us around Sri Lanka (Jagath) during our stay, at very reasonable prices. Without a doubt, we would come back and stay with them again. We had a wonderful time.

Our stay at Margossa Residence in Kandy was absolutely perfect — hands down, the best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The owner and host is truly exceptional — incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about his guests. He made us feel at home in the best way possible, and we honestly regretted not staying longer. The view from the property is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is so peaceful and calming — you feel like you’re in a small oasis above the city. The interior design of the villa is stylish and thoughtful — every detail feels modern, fresh, and comfortable. And the breakfast… wow. Truly one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka — fresh, generous, and made with love. We are already dreaming of coming back to Margossa. This place is a gem. Thank you for making our honeymoon stay so memorable 💛
