Magnificent 17th Century country house (built 1690), located only 30 kms from Salzburg. Easy road and frequent rail connections (30-minute). Broad wood planked flooring, beams in ceilings, antique furniture. Oasis of calm that sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms. Accessible by two single-lane country roads with very little traffic.
American living in Salzburg. Publisher. Have lived in NYC, Boston, San Francisco, Milan, Beijing, Munich and Paris. Worked first as a transport planner in West Africa. Now active in biomass energy projects in Central Africa.
Located at the foot of 2,700 m high mountains, in the Salzach river valley. Fantastic hiking, skiing, mountain biking, bicycling, and other outdoor activities. Great for dogs. Crystal-clear waters in all the neighboring streams. Deer abound, and rabbits too. Farms next door have cows, llamas, chickens, goats, etc.
