Welcome to 18 Woods Lane, Darlinghurst, your home away from home in Sydney's inner east, The house is situated in a quiet, historic street a short walk into the CBD, Hyde Park, the Botanical Gardens and some of Sydney's best cafes and restaurants. Now gentrified, Woods Lane has a very colourful past and was a hotbed of crime during the Great Depression. The area has always attracted people from all over the world. I hope that you enjoy your stay.
A long-term resident of the area, I love the history, vibe and convenience of downtown Darlinghurst. I live in the next suburb and work in town as an organisational change communications manager in financial services.
East Sydney is one of Sydney's oldest neighbourhoods with an eclectic mix of residents including hipsters, young families, professionals and retirees. Some of Sydney's best restaurants/cafes, art galleries, bars and clubs are just a short walk away. And if you enjoy the great outdoors, take a stroll to Hyde Park, the Botanical Gardens, Rushcutters Bay, Cook & Philip Park and Boy Charlton Pool.
