Digs Lodgings is owned and operated by the Cohen family. We have always loved discovering the great outdoors and the many adventures on offer, as well as spending quality time together as a family. After many years of competing in Ironman and triathlon, Larry discovered the exciting world of mountain biking. He enjoyed it so much, he got the rest of the family involved and now we are all hooked. In early 2017 Larry went on a mates MTB trip to Derby, TAS to ride Blue Tier and Blue Derby. He fell in love with the amazing trails and quaint laid-back town. Not long thereafter the Cohen’s decided to buy an old miners cottage and, after a healthy renovation, Derby Digs Cottage was born. The name “Digs” means lodgings or living quarters, as well as a play on the fact that Derby was an old mining town. In mid-2018 Derby Digs Barn was built. It comfortably sleeps 10 and also enjoy stunning views of the MTB tracks and Ringarooma River. Derby Digs cabin was added in 2021, which sleeps 5. As a family we love the Warburton area especially the beautiful Yarra River and tubing down it on a summer day. Warburton Digs underwent a healthy renovation in 2019 and sleeps 8 guests. In 2025, we bought and renovated Ferntree Digs Cottage which is the next door house to Warburton Digs and it sleeps 6 guests.

A fully self-contained cottage, this property is located just 1 km from the heart of Warburton and 400m to the beautiful Yarra River. The river is a fantastic spot to cool off on warmer days, you can head in for a swim or grab a tube and float downriver. Such a relaxing way to pass the time! Ferntree Digs Cottage has 3 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 6 guests. It has a well-equipped open plan kitchen and living area opening out onto the deck and taking in expansive views of Mt Donna Buang and the beautiful Yarra Ranges. Two dedicated bedrooms and a third bedroom or living area for guests to enjoy. You’ll find 2 bathrooms, 2 separate toilets, split system air conditioning in the living area and a wood fire to keep you warm when the weather is chilly. The bunk beds are best suited to guests that are 175cm or less in height. The Cottage was built in the early 1900’s in typical Warburton Cottage style and recently underwent a full renovation. Located in a peaceful and serene area of Warburton. We specialise in accommodation for cyclists, family and friends.

The fun Yarra River is just a 400m walk down the road. Bring your tube and float down the river. The town center and famous Warburton Bakery is just 1km away.
