Escape to this self-contained chalet nestled on a stunning 100-acre property featuring 25 acres of vines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Shiraz), natural bushland teeming with birdlife, and a scenic lake. Stroll the property's nature paths, relax at the lakeside gazebo, or try your hand at the putting green and driving range. Perfectly positioned between Busselton and Margaret River, you're within 15km of award-winning breweries, distilleries, wineries and restaurants. Cowaramup is just 9km south, and beach access, Cape to Cape cycling, art galleries and surf spots are all within easy reach. Quiet, private and beautifully maintained.
I'm Carlo, a retired pilot, I flew with MMA, Ansett and Singapore Airlines before trading cockpits for country life, and I haven't looked back since. These days you'll find me tending my vineyard and orchard, tinkering with vintage cars, or back up in the air in my P300 ultralight. I love gardening, photography and cooking, and there's nothing better than winding down with a good glass of red at the end of the day. I designed and built this chalet myself over four years, so I know every nail and beam of it. I'm also slowly writing a book loosely based on my life on this beautiful planet, which means I truly appreciate a peaceful, inspiring place to retreat to. I hope you enjoy staying here as much as I've enjoyed creating it.
There's plenty to keep you in holiday mode right up until you check out. Just a short drive away you'll find coffee shops, restaurants and art galleries, as well as beaches perfect for the kids and surf breaks for the more adventurous. If you enjoy the outdoors, the Cape to Cape track is right on your doorstep, ideal for cycling or walking through some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in Western Australia. And of course, the Margaret River region is home to some of Australia's finest wineries, so there's no shortage of excellent drops to discover during your stay.
