The studio is a large (6.2m x 3.6m) well-equipped 2019 addition to an existing weatherboard family home. It's attached to the rear deck of the main house but is very private and has its own entry via a well-lit side path. The property is literally a two minute walk to the main street of Mullumbimby, so it's very handy to all shops, restaurants and services. While not having cooking facilities, it does have a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle as well as other comforts like a TV, air conditioner and en-suite.

I'm Jim, the host. Originally from Sydney, I moved to Mullum in 1997. The studio was built in 2019 and I've been hosting guests since then. I live in the main house and my friend and cleaner Amanda also has a room in the main house. My dog Curly can be a little vocal when guests arrive but soon calms down. I'm keen to ensure you have a good stay while you're here, and encourage feedback and suggstions.

Situated only 15 minutes from Byron Bay, Australia’s most easterly point, Mullumbimby is known as “the biggest little town in Australia” and has a creative alternate culture in a tropical atmosphere. Laid back, but never boring… Cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, clubs, in fact the whole main street is literally a two minute walk away.
