We really love Jim's house and garden which is just 5-minute-walk from the town center of Mullumbimby. The room is supper cozy, supper clean. We just found everything we want in the room that make us feel like at home.

This is a 1920s double storey building with beautifully decorated guests rooms upstairs. A communal kitchen with a fridge, electric cooker, fresh filtered water and coffee pots etc has everything you could need; the shared bathroom is newly renovated with special touches like a bidet and toiletries as well as a common lounge room for reading and relaxing. The location is in the heart of Mullumbimby and there is one car space provided for off street parking. Absolutely wonderful find and so will be back. It was PERFECT for a solo traveller female like myself. The beds are amazing too! They even provided earplugs for the bedroom.

The architectural style of the hotel and attention to detail in the woodwork in the trims and furniture. We paid to have our own bathroom. It came with a spa bath. Loved it. The pub downstairs is reasonably priced and serves great food.

Country charm at it's best. Staff were incredibly friendly and the whole place has a great vibe. The beds were very comfortable and it's in a nice quiet location without lots of traffic noise etc. The shared bathroom was fine and the shower had plenty of hot water and lots of pressure. Outside the rooms is a cute little verandah that has access to tea/coffee. Nice place to chill out before or after a busy day! Plenty of beautiful beaches and fantastic eateries in the nearby area. A great coffee roasters too! We will 100% stay again.

Jay was very welcoming and was happy to make arrangements to pick me up from Brunswick Heads. He pointed out the best places to go and was very friendly. The flat and surrounding area were just gorgeous. The pool: delicious! I had the cabana and pool all to myself along with the most serene and beautiful views over the valley to the ocean.

The only thing to note is that you'll need a car (4x4 sounds better). It's quite a distance from the town; otherwise, it's not very convenient. Quiet place for a perfect retreat and recharge your battery. Very spacious rooms filled with natural, warm, and cheerful sunlight.

Lots of food options - The Patch is great for brekki, there is a bakery across the street that opens early, Fish and Chips very nice. Not far from Nimbin or if need be Byron. Local people friendly and like a chat and happy to point you in the right direction. In Mullum you can do lots of things or you can do nothing. A great home base for further local travel.

Mullumbimby is a unique town with a strong, alternative cultural vibe and proud hippie roots. It has a relaxed, creative atmosphere and a real sense of community. You’ll find organic cafés, local markets, colourful shops, and a focus on wellness and sustainability. Surrounded by lush countryside and Mount Chincogan, Mullumbimby feels peaceful, welcoming, and refreshingly different.

Mullumbimby is a great little town, with relaxed, friendly people and great places to eat. Can recommend: Ya man - Middle Eastern which they use Yemenite pastry oh so good and buttery, friendly and welcoming service. Ottilies for a great pizza and busy packed vibes, had a lovely Canadian girl serve us who went out of her way to make us feel welcomed, Paseyo - healthy, vegetarian food, the coffee and smoothies were great, with a friendly and relaxed vibe. The service was awesome! Santos Organics - well stocked with everything you can imagine, have a cafe attached which we didn't get to try but the food looked amazing Kiva Spa and Bathhouse- like walking into a place in Bali, great staff, chilled atmosphere, 4 mineral spas, steam and sauna rooms, chilled bath and lovely gardens. Best of all was no phones alllowed! Pretty much you can walk to everything! Highly recommend a stay, and gets you out of the hustle and bustle of Bryon Bay but close enough drive!

I was there to visit family and attend my granddaughter's ballet performance. As a regular visitor to this area, the highlights are : the ability to go to Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads by public transport. Lots of great cafes and eateries.

It is very pretty and has a lovely vibe. The only difficulty we experienced was trying to have a meal delivered as, due to horrendous traffic we arrived at 7.30 on a Sunday night, pretty exhausted, and hungry! Next time we will be much better prepared.
