We welcome guests to share in the peace & tranquility of our idyllic bush hideaway. Whether you are looking to indulge in some much needed rest & relaxation or after something a little more exciting & fast paced, The Retreat certainly caters to every one of all ages! The unique 4 acre property is nestled perfectly between unspoilt Australian native bushland & Worimi National Park . Our backyard is literally home to the largest moving coastal dunes in the Southern Hemisphere, making this the ideal location to explore the incredible beauty of the ever changing landscape. We are the ONLY park that back directly onto the sand dunes allowing guests to access the dunes directly via as short walking track. Cook up a feast in one of our 4 outdoor covererd BBQ kltchen areas Take a dip in the salt water pool. Toast marshmallows around the firepit (restrictions apply during summer) Stroll around the property through our native gardens filled with banksia, wattle & grevilleas, relax on your verandah or deck underneath a canopy of gum trees. We have a childrens playground & an onsite games room with ping pong table, fuse ball & pool tables for guest entertainment. Our reception is also conveniently a booking office for local tours & activities! Our friendly staff are happy to answer your questions & make all the arrangements on your behalf... The Retreat is definitely one of Port Stephens best kept secrets.... until now

Nearby, there’s plenty to explore within walking distance, including the Anna Bay Tavern for hearty pub meals, two local bottle shops, a butcher, post office, newsagent, and takeaway options like fish & chips, Thai cuisine, and a pizzeria. The service station nearby is not only convenient for fuel and travel needs but also sells beach permits, which are required if you plan to 4WD on the sand dunes. Explore Anna Bay & Surrounds Anna Bay is the gateway to the largest coastal sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere — a must-see for any visitor. For a relaxing beach day, Birubi Beach is our closest stretch of sand.
