I like staying here it is very easy to book and the staff are all friendly and have my booking ready for check in, There has never been any drama. Fantastic Bar and Food makesit a very enjoyable stay.

Good base for visiting the very lovely Blacksmiths beach and...

Good base for visiting the very lovely Blacksmiths beach and Lake Macquarie. Found we could have done a lot more in the local area and surrounding Newcastle and Hunter region if we had more time available. Recommend checking out Belmont 16s sailing club situated over the lake for a meal.

Lovely room - shame you have to step in to the shower to close the bathroom door! Also the sanding from the painters had not been cleaned up and there was dust all through the shower and in the bathroom floor

We turned down the room we booked as it was upstairs.

We turned down the room we booked as it was upstairs. The room we were allocated was not refurbished. It was old but exceptionally clean. Bed needs replacing or mattress topper fitted. Fantastic water view from our door where there was a table & chairs, so we enjoyed a drink from there. We were only there for one night & it was close to the location we had to be at 10am the next day. Yes, I would stay again. The cost was very reasonable.

I was only in Belmont a short time for a boxing event...

I was only in Belmont a short time for a boxing event however it was my second trip there and I would absolutely go back! I ate dinner at the squids ink restaurant which has a view of Lake Macquarie & serves excellent food! Westfield Katara is only a short drive away. Redhead beach is only a 5-10 minute drive away! It’s super easy to find your way around and there’s plenty of fishing & other activities to do!

Belmont Hotel Lake Macquarie is good value for money, centrally located to shops, local restaurants and sightseeing venues like Swansea, Caves Beach to the south and Newcastle and Nelsons Bay to the north. Staff were friendly and helpful, parking was free. Standard king room was clean and generous size, would have been nice to have a table and chair to eat. Bed and sheets were clean, air conditioning was perfect for the warm weather. Tea and coffee making facility are good but would have been nice to have refill of coffee as I stayed for 3 days at the hotel, bins weren't emptied out as well. Bathroom was clean, toilet and shower were both working fine. Overall, it was still a very pleasant stay at Belmont Hotel.

We enjoyed the tranquillity of the lake and various places in the vicinity to be able to do some walking. A very pleasant alternative to staying closer to Newcastle. Nearby Gunyah Hotel and 2 sailing clubs provide good dining

Property managers were very friendly and helpful, room well set up and spacious. We were especially impressed with the fact that a phone call to just let the manager know they may have an issue with their hot water saw them come in straight away and switch us to a backup water heater. I haven’t seen this level of assistance even in far more expensive and so called “exclusive” hotels I stayed in through work.

I liked the good standard of cleanliness, the modern bathroom, the comfortable bed/s and WIFI. The price was reasonable for a public holiday rate and I loved it was a pet friendly property. The hotel was also accommodating to our early checkin requirement.
