The house is beautiful and so well maintained - water views from kitchen and lounge, central heating for cosy indoor stay and all the amenities required (plus more). We were 4 families with two toddlers and had everything in the house to cater for all ages. Its spacious, clean with lovely decor in every nook and corner. To add, Gavin is an amazing host. Highly recommend this little gem - by far the best staycation we have had.

Swansea had most everything I needed, close by to the motel.

Swansea had most everything I needed, close by to the motel. I didn't have to drive for supplies, just walked, despite having a hire car. Also very close to my cousin's place, which was perfect. First-timer in Swansea, easy to get around in a hire car I was unfamiliar with. Caves Beach was awesome. Found some amazing sourdough bread there at a cafe my cousin will now buy (the bread). Apart from family, also went there to find a stockist for our Tablelands Tallow all-natural hand-made skin and hair-care range. It would be special to find a stockist, as I was born in Newcastle in 1969.

The Swansea Hotel, RSL and Workers club have great meals!

The Swansea Hotel, RSL and Workers club have great meals! Public Transport runs to Charlestown and elsewhere. Some great Snooker players once lived there, and it was the location of a scene in Mel Gibson's first movie. Do not swim in the channel because it has a mean current and blue ringed octopuses live there. There are no more boat hires!

This is a little gem with the best view across the water...

This is a little gem with the best view across the water from each of the waterside rooms. The new owners are currently refurbishing. the rooms are a good size and have all the facilities you require. Cleanliness is very good. Its not a five start property but it is a most welcoming and safe place run by an attentive family. Coles and good eateries are in walking distance. It will become our regular stop on our way further north. We know there will always be continued improvements and other great features to enjoy when we return.

Beautiful location on the lake.

Beautiful location on the lake. Well maintained grounds, however our townhouse had this distinctive smell that despite spending 2 days in it we could not get used to it. Not sure what it was exactly, but could recognise incest repellent and perhaps old carpet smell. The main pool had significant amount of duck poo surrounding it and smaller amount inside the pool. The kids pool had a dead duckling stuck in the filter. We moved to one of their other pools next to the tennis courts which was not much better. Had murky green water. For that price we expected clean facilities. We were told that normally their pools are kept clean, but if you don't have your pools clean on Saturday morning then when exactly do you have them cleaned? I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but could tell that the duck poo around the pool was not all fresh. It wasn't just a one time miss. You can see that at one point in time this must have been a stunning resort.

This was our 5th stay, it is always so welcoming as soon as you open the door it has a beautiful clean smell, fridge is stocked with breakfast items and treats if desired, and of course the huge spa bath to just sit back and relax. Followed by a super comfy bed for the night. Swansea Workers club is a short stroll away if you like a nice meal and a few quite drinks.

The Hotel rooms were being painted and the Hotel itself was having renovations done so whilst there was very little inconvenience the price we paid for our stay was more than fair. We would return in a heart beat just for the food.

Great resort facilities were great, we had multiple units and all family members agrees ot was situated not far from cbd swansea and Catherine Hill Bay. Spacious lots of parking. Pools were beautiful. staff were lovely as well.
