Our well maintained three story home (and our family) was featured on House Hunters International on HGTV in 2018. We've updated this traditional Belizean style home with all the modern amenities for your comfort but kept the rustic Caribbean charm. Loads of outdoor space and lush gardens give you the tropical vacation vibe. The inside of the home consists of gorgeous mixed Belizean hardwood, custom cabinetry, and local art work. Add in air-conditioning, fast WiFi, and complimentary Netflix, and you'll have the comforts of home while experiencing all that Placencia has to offer. Our two bedroom/two bathroom apartment on the second floor is ideal for families or groups as it has a large fully equipped kitchen and ample living space, including two large covered balconies. Our ground floor one bedroom apartment with a pull-out sofa is great for couples traveling a child and has the benefit of a large screened patio for extra relaxing space. Our ground floor studio apartment is perfect for couples or single travelers with a covered screened patio and dinette table. All guests share a year round pool surrounded by a sundeck, loungers, and gas BBQ grill area that is just a 10 second walk from each apartment. Complimentary bikes are available to explore the village. We live on the top floor of the guesthouse and we are always available to answer questions, make recommendations, or assist in any way possible to make your vacation relaxing and enjoyable.

We moved to Belize in 2017 from New Jersey to enjoy year-round sun, sea, and warm weather. After years of research and reconnaissance, working multiple jobs and saving as much as possible, we finally dropped our old life, quit those jobs, and moved to Belize. We chose Placencia as our paradise, and bought this guesthouse within weeks of arriving. Since then we have enjoyed adapting to the “Barefoot Perfect” lifestyle of the village. We love living in this warm community full of friendly faces and being within walking distance of everywhere we need to go. Phil’s passion is health and fitness and he appreciates being active outdoors year-round. While enjoying all the perks that Belize offers, he has not totally abandoned his prior career path and still works remotely as a physical therapist. Megan writes for several local publications and indulges her creative side by writing a blog (Real Life Recess) and crafting, and is a superb source of information on expat life, village happenings, and unique experiences. Mitch is enrolled in a local school where in addition learning the typical reading, writing, and arithmetic, he’s also being exposed to gardening, agriculture, and animal husbandry.

Placencia Village is known as a tourist beach destination, but it's also a real authentic working village full of friendly, welcoming people. The village is totally walkable from Driftwood Gardens. We have an ideal and convenient location towards the top of the village. We are right next door to Captain Jaks, a full service tour operator and golf cart rental agency. Lefty’s Supermarket is just a 30 second walk across the street where you can buy all of your essentials. A great coffee shop, Beaches and Cream is just a 2 minute walk across the street. The Famous Placencia Sidewalk, Caribbean Sea, and best beach bars, including Tipsy Tuna and Barefoot are less than a 5 minute walk away.
