SUGAR PATCH INN is located in Hopkins Village, it is a fantastic village whose beautiful beaches, friendly Garifuna people and ideal location will make it the best stop of your Belize vacation! It offers plenty of local restaurants, gift shops and bars to explore without being a “tourist trap”, and sits right between the barrier reef, Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve and Bocawina National Park. To stay in Hopkins, you’ll have made the right choice to stay at Sugar Patch Inn. Would you like to stay in an all-inclusive resort in the “resort area” (called Sittee Point), several miles outside of Hopkins, eating only resort food, taking guided tours, and being isolated from the village? Or would you like to stay in the REAL Hopkins, Belize: a safe and authentic village with lots of great local restaurants and bars, gorgeous beaches, and amazingly friendly people?

I am a US citizen that have fallen in love with Belize. I first visited Belize in 2010 and fell in love with the culture the lay back life style of the natives, that is why I have open up Sugar Patch Inn. I love to travel and enjoy meeting travelers from all over the world. With Sugar Patch Inn it, gave me an opportunity to meet , greet them and provide first class service for them.

Sugar Patch Inn, although you would never know it from our quiet beach, is located almost directly in the center of Hopkins! This means that you can easily walk anywhere in the village. We have five restaurants within two blocks, and about a dozen other restaurants and bars within a ten minute walk. The village is very safe and the Garifuna people are very friendly. Hopkins has the relaxed atmosphere of a small village, but there are plenty activities to do! Contact us if you have any questions at all, or if we can help with your travel arrangements. To the south you can also frequent the large resorts and hang out, then return to your quite A/C room away from the hustle and bustle.
