Selah Retreat B&B is located in the interior of British Columbia above the sunny Shuswap where guests may enjoy spectacular lake and mountain views. The Shuswap boasts of natural beauty, with its rivers, lakes, mountain vistas and abundant wildlife. The area is home to beaches, parks, museums, artisan and craft people, as well as a numerous variety of hiking trails, golf courses and much more. Selah is located just off the Trans Canada Hwy, midway between Vancouver and Calgary, making it the perfect place for a rest stop .

As the hosts and owners of Selah, our life journey over the past 40 years has taken us to numerous places, including various parts of Canada, the U.S., Africa and Europe. Wherever we have travelled or lived, we have found that a welcoming atmosphere has warmed our hearts and made us feel at home. Our hope is that each guest will feel relaxed and welcomed in the friendly atmosphere of our home.

The South Shuswap as been long renowned as the Heart of the Shuswap and offers a relaxed lifestyle with a great variety of recreational choices and accommodation properties. The area is conveniently located on Highway 1 along the southern shores of Shuswap Lake with magnificent mountain vistas and great views of the lake. The area is well known for its recreation and lifestyle, but also offers great dining, culture, scenic view scapes, specialty hobby and traditional farms, and a large artisan community. Each of the South Shuswap's communities - Balmoral, Blind Bay, Eagle Bay, Notch Hill, Skimikin, Sorrento, Sunnybrae, Tappen, White Lake, and Wild Rose Bay - are unique in character. Some are rich in history and others are relatively new settlements. At Notch Hill you will find preserved buildings depicting the area's history as a railway stop. Sorrento is located on Highway 1 and offers all the amenities and services you may need to help make your visit to this area enjoyable. In Blind Bay visit the Blind Bay Market Place as well as the area's Visitor Information Centre. In Sunnybrae, walk the short trail through tall trees and cliffs to enchanting Margaret Falls.
