Our apartment is one of the best in the Disentiserhof, we think. It has the most excellent view up and down the valley of Surselva. Snow capped mountains, lots of forest and the Rhine make for a great time on the balcony with a glass of wine and a piece of local cheese or the famous Bündnerfleisch (air-dried meat).
Fortunately, we live in Zürich, which makes it possible for us to go to our apartment in Disentis several times a year. We - and our kids even more so - love to spend time in and around Disentis.
We think Disentis is an absolutely magical place amidst the alps. It is a great gateway for outdoors activities like skiing in winter and hiking/biking in summer.
