From the underground garage, you can take the elevator straight to the apartment. Convenient, easy and sheltered from the weather, making your arrival as comfortable as possible. Located on the third floor, the loft welcomes you with modern architecture and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the rooms with natural light throughout the day. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the green inner courtyard as well as the vibrant neighborhood. The interior features handcrafted designer furniture made exclusively for the apartment, with every detail carefully chosen to create an elegant yet cozy atmosphere where you can immediately feel at home. Two separate bedrooms with a cozy king-size and queen-size bed provide plenty of privacy, complemented by a high-quality sofa bed for additional guests. If you prefer sleeping in a bed rather than on the sofa bed, we will be happy to provide up to two extra beds upon request. Of course, we have also thought of our youngest guests. A baby cot is available free of charge on request. A fully equipped modern kitchen with induction hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, three different coffee machines and a milk frother is at your disposal, along with a washing machine and dryer for longer stays. For your entertainment, the loft is equipped with a Smart TV and a high-quality music box, while a private balcony with table and chairs invites you to enjoy a relaxing evening or your morning coffee in the sun. I spend a lot of time in one of my pizzerias (VITO), making or serving pizza. I love surfing and spending as much time as possible barefoot in the sand with my family somewhere by the sea.

The Urban Design Loft is located in Basel’s St. Johann district, a residential area that combines a quiet atmosphere with excellent transport connections. Within the building itself you will find a supermarket, a hairdresser, and a laundry service, making everyday needs easy to take care of, especially for longer stays. On the square in front of the house there are a few restaurants and cafés, offering a small but pleasant choice for dinner or a quick coffee. Right outside the accommodation is the tram stop, which takes you to the Old Town or Basel SBB railway station within minutes. Basel-Mulhouse Airport is also close by, yet far enough away that aircraft noise is not an issue. Another great advantage is the nearby St. Johann railway station, from where you can reach France in just a few minutes for example to visit the traditional Sunday market in Saint-Louis, which makes for a charming day trip. For recreation and leisure, the Rhine is only a short walk away. In summer it is a popular spot where locals swim, stroll along the banks, or relax by the water in the evenings. Green spaces such as St. Johanns Park complement the area and provide room for relaxation or a short walk within the neighborhood. Just two minutes from the apartment you’ll find “Dampfbad Basel”, a relaxing wellness oasis. Perfect for switching off and unwinding. If you’re in the mood for something more active, the well-known ELYS Boulderloft climbing gym is only an eight-minute walk away, offering a fun experience for both children and adults. If you are traveling with an electric car, there are several charging stations located nearby.
