Enjoy relaxing days in our lovingly furnished vacation apartment. The historic old town of Stade is easily accessible on foot or by bike, and the Barger Heide recreational area and Rüstjer Forest are close by, inviting you to take walks and enjoy nature. Well-socialized dogs are welcome here, and if you ever plan a trip without your dog, we will be happy to look after it for you—in our apartment.

Marion Frahm and I are travel journalists and photographers, and we’d like to share with you the hospitality we’ve experienced on our own travels. “Skye,” our short-haired collie, is here to keep an eye on the house!

From Stade, you can reach Hamburg, Lüneburg, and Bremen within an hour by car; it takes a little longer by regional train. The wildlife parks near the Lüneburg Heide (2), along the Wingst River, and the Wolf Center in Dörverden are sure to be a highlight for animal lovers. The North Sea (Cuxhaven) is just an hour away; St. Peter Ording is a good 2.5 hours away, as is the drive to the Baltic Sea beaches and places like Lübeck, Travemünde, and Kiel. Another highlight is certainly a visit to Holsteinische Schweiz, featuring Lake Plön and Gut Panker.
