Hi, I'm Kevin. I came to Tarifa in 2006 as a newly-qualified kitesurf instructor and never left! I have been teaching kitesurfing here non-stop since then (so am one of the most experienced instructors working here). In 2008 I set up High Flyers Tarifa: offering week-long (or more!) kitesurfing hollidays including accommodation and transport. After operating out of a couple of different houses I bought High Flyers Kite House in 2014. Now you know the reason for the name High Flyers Kite House! So if you are looking to learn to kitesurf, or want to imorove your skills or take advantage of my extensive experience of kitesurfing in this region - please get in touch! I have 2 young girls: Daisy and Bella so sometimes I will be there with you guys and sometimes not. You can always contact me about anything before, during or after your trip. I will do my best to assist you with your requiremenets. Often there will also be a host living and helping out around the house.

Property info

High Flyers House is a 6 bedroom guesthouse just inside the old town of Tarifa. It is directly opposite the castle and has wonderful views of it from our roof terrace. With Tarifa being just 14km away from Morocco, design inspirations have been taken from our colourful neighbour. We are proud that it has a really special, social atmosphere. This is due to the fact that it isn't a huge hotel, and that there is a communal living room, communal kitchen and roof terrace, so even if you are travelling on your own you will easily meet the other guests, go out / cook / go kitesurfing together. People who stay here often form special friendships during their time together. There are 2 bathrooms to be shared between the 6 bedrooms. One on each floor of 3 bedrooms. So you will be sharing the bathroom with two other rooms. The house is in a great situation really close to many of the best cafes, bars and restaurants of the old town. And it is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Everything you need in Tarifa is close at hand!

Neighborhood info

As you probably know, Tarifa is known as the wind capital of Europe and people flock here from all over the world to kitesurf and windsurf. We have many World Champions who are from here - Gisela Pulido, Liam Whalley, Carla Herrera to name a few! So if you're here to learn, please get in touch with Kevin. If you're not here for the wind there is SO much else to do. There are so many great restaurants including: La Bonita - directly opposite us! Bar el Frances Los Melli Lola Meson el Picoteo Raizes Numero 6 Wonderful Cafes to while away lazy mornings: Bossa Cafe 10 La Palmera Churreria (you have to go for churros & chocolate at least once, and it's right next door!) Cafe Azul Andreas Brunch Bars: Taco Way Exit Bar Bossa Misiana The Beach is just 2 minutes away. Walk up towards the lighthouse and see the Atlantic Ocean and the Meditteranean Sea on either side of you! You can then walk for many kilometres up the beach and stop off at various chiringuitos (beach bars) along the way for coffees, beers, cocktails!
