I am Jake and live at the property. While I leave guests to themselves, I also enjoy meeting all the different people who pass through and have stories to tell. I share a love for this area, its natural surroundings, and wildness.

You will sleep on the edge of a protected pine forest, eat from the organic vegetable garden, shower under the stars, and use private, luxury composting toilets, as part of our effort to minimise our impact on nature! Put your feet up in the shade of the stone pines, or jump into any number of outdoor activities on offer in the area! Whatever you choose, it’ll be an unforgettable experience! Stone Pines is a boutique, ecologically-focused Glamping retreat, offering an idyllic getaway for those who love being surrounded by nature, whilst nestled in the small rural community of San Ambrosio. We currently have four spacious and stylish 4m and 5m bell tents (available as singles, doubles, twins), sleeping a total of 8 people. It should be noted that this is a new project and, while it is ready and well-prepared for guests, it is not the completely finished product. So this is why we are currently offering lower prices and would really appreciate suggestions and observations from our guests, in order to improve and make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Stone Pines is situated in San Ambrosio, a small village spread along an old cattle road, on the edge of La Breña protected National Park and 3km inland from cliffs facing the sea adjoining the straits of Gibraltar with the Atlantic. We are more or less equidistant (10 min drive) from Barbate (working port) and Vejer de la Frontera (clifftop white town) and about 7 mins from Caños de Meca, an alternative (once hippie) hangout with its beautiful beaches and numerous restaurants and bars, in the shadow of the Trafalgar Lighthouse! San Ambrosio boasts two "Ventas" (restaurant/bars), both a five minute walk from the property, that serve a selection of local dishes, as well as thin-crust pizzas! The location is perfect for exploring the area, really well connected but tucked away from the hustle and bustle in the busy summer months! We are a less-than-10-minute drive, or slightly longer bike ride along the new “Eurovelo 8” bikepath, from some of Spain's most wild and beautiful beaches! There are numerous activities that we can help you coordinate through local providers, so please just ask if there is something you want to do while here!
