La Bihourderie is a beautiful bed and breakfast situated in the heart of the Loire Valley. Its history dates back to the 13th century when it was once home to the Bohors who trained knights for jousting tournaments. La Bihourderie is ideally located to visit the famous châteaux (castles) of the Loire Valley (Chenonceau, Amboise, Azay le Rideau, Villandry, Chaumont sur Loire, Chambord, Cheverny etc....) or to do some wine tasting or visit the numerous abbeys and gardens of the Loire Valley. Touraine has several outdoor activities to offer too; cycling trails, canoeing, horseback riding, ULM, helicopter tours etc… The rooms are spacious and decorated in soft tones creating a modern feel and relaxing atmosphere within the charm of a traditional French stone farmhouse.
Hello ! With my husband we have been welcoming visitors to our area of France for 17 years and we would love to meet you and help you get the most out of your stay.
Our house is situated in the countryside, far enough way from traffic noise but close enough to the medieval town of Loches (10 minutes) for shopping, dining and cultural activities. The major châteaux are all within a 1 hour radius which makes us a great place to stay so that you're not travelling far each day to get to them. We are also just 5km away for the village of Chédigny, the only village in France to be classed as a remarkable garden with over 800 roses. From our garden you can see the horizon and enjoy the sunsets all through the months of June-September.
