The apartment is on the ground floor of our home, with your own private entrance & key. Access is via key-box at the front door (which opens from the street). There is no garden or terrace, although if you smoke, there are chairs if you want to sit outside, as well as an ashtray. We live in the house with our 2 dogs but your privacy is protected and you are free to come and go as you wish. If you need advice or assistance we are available for you. The cosy sitting room has a wood-burner, smart TV with Netflix & DVD player. The kitchen is small but well-equipped (refrigerator, freezer & washer) and as part of our welcome we supply bottled water, local cider & biscuits. You will also find tea, coffee, salt, pepper, and oil for cooking. Your bedroom and bathroom are spacious and well-appointed with bedding, towels and toiletries, sewing kit and hairdryer. We are close to the coast road and ideally placed for Cancale/St Malo & Dinard. The nearest large supermarket is 5kms away, direction Pontorson. You will need a car to get around as there is no public transport near the village.

We come from the West coast of Scotland and feel very at ease here in Brittany. We love the incredible landscapes, the rich & varied culture, the cuisine and the people. We feel the Celtic connection very strongly and have found our neighbours and the area very welcoming. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found our new home here in Brittany and we enjoy sharing our knowledge of the area with visitors. This is a fascinating corner of France and there is so much to discover!

Our house is on the corner in the small hamlet of Le Val Saint-Revert, within walking distance (10 minutes/1km) to the village of Roz-sur-Couesnon. The village has a lively bar/tabac with epicerie (grocery store), boulangerie, beautician and hairdresser. There are spectacular views from the garden of the Mairie. We are close to the coast road and within easy driving distance of the Mont, Cancale (famous for its oysters), St Malo (City of Corsairs) and the genteel old seaside holiday town of Dinard. From the hamlet there are also wonderful views of Mont Saint Michel and the Polders (land reclaimed from the sea), with Normandy in the distance. The large town of Pontorson is 7 minutes away by car and has lots of restaurants and bars and 2 supermarkets. Dol de Bretagne, the ancient capital of Ille-et-Vilaine is a lovely town with lots to do and see. The Polders are ideal for walkers and cyclists and there are stables if you like pony trekking. We are happy to share our knowledge of the area with you and Le Val Saint-Revert is an ideal, quiet base from which to explore this beautiful area.
