St. Andrews is the home of golf and offers visitors a choice of ten courses including the opportunity to play the world famous Old Course. The town however is not just about golf. Its university has an international reputation, there are a number of historic buildings, colourful boutique shops, lively bars, high quality restaurants and magnificent award winning beaches. The town is a little gem in the heart of Scotland for tourists of all ages. Situated along the east coast from St. Andrews, the East Neuk of Fife has some of the most picturesque towns and villages in Scotland and is a very popular tourist destination in itself. It is a mecca for walkers and cyclists with the rejuvenated Fife Costal Path a highlight. For those wishing to venture further afield the city of Edinburgh is less than an hours drive to the south. The city of Dundee with the newly opened Victoria and Albert museum is only twenty minutes north.
