🌊 The Penthouse, Margate Wake up to light, sea air and effortless seaside calm in our bright, sunny and airy top-floor penthouse in Margate. Designed for couples and small groups who appreciate quality and attention to detail, this modern one-bedroom retreat offers a calm space to unwind after exploring the coast. The lounge has relaxed seaside vibes, and the private balcony — our ‘money piece’ — enjoys sea glimpses towards Westbrook Bay. Perfect for morning coffee or sunset wine as the light changes over the water. Everything is thoughtfully prepared, from beautifully presented linen to the little touches that make your stay feel straightforward and genuinely cared for. Just two minutes from Westbrook Bay and around ten minutes on foot to Margate Old Town, Turner Contemporary and Dreamland, with excellent restaurants and independent shops nearby. House guidelines: no parties or loud music (quiet after 11pm), no smoking or open flames, no deep frying, no e-bike charging inside, lead guest 21+, visitors by approval only. Ring doorbell at entrance. A relaxed coastal escape just over an hour from London — everything is taken care of, so you can simply relax.

I’ve always loved Margate and the seaside, so in 2018 I combined that passion with my interest in interior design and opened The Penthouse. The Neighbourhood Set in Westbrook, just moments from the sea, the Penthouse offers the perfect coastal escape from London — peaceful enough to unwind, yet close to everything that makes Margate special. Westbrook Bay is only 150 metres away, ideal for early morning sea swims, sunset walks or coffee by the promenade. From there, it’s a relaxed 10-minute stroll along the seafront to Margate Old Town, independent galleries, vintage shops and some of Kent’s best-loved restaurants. If you’d prefer a quiet night in, everything is within easy reach: • Tesco Express just a few doors down • Traditional fish & chip shop • Pizza, Chinese & Indian restaurants, Pie and Mash within minutes • Cafés and bus routes right outside Margate station is around a 10-minute walk, making this an easy, car-free weekend getaway from London. It’s the best of both worlds — seaside calm with culture, food and atmosphere just along the promenade.
